Ok where do i "Restart"... i picked up this coupe in November/December, bought it from a friend who bought it from another friend... this car went through its RICER style days but i always happen to lend a helping hand on this car before i had it.. after it was transfered of ownership to its last owner, the car got a heart transplant.. 00 USDM GSR... which once agian.. i lended a helping hand..(did it myself) after about 2 months or so the car just wasnt running my friend didnt have time and left it sitting for another month.. well i then asked him about selling it to me so i got it had to clay it because it sat at my friends dads house and he does body shop so lets just say.. OVERSPRAY...turns out the only thing wrong was a blown fuse.. yup.. that was it..since i got my hands on it i changed the carpet did DIY CTR Headlights, DIY CTR Grill, rear disk brake conversion, DC Rear Lower Tie Bar, Tien Springs, Amber Instrument Cluster.. (waiting on SI), headliner map light,"Type R" style front lip, Aftermarket Oem Style Fogs with DIY yellow, Skunk2 IM, AEM Shortram, Urethane Motor Mount Inserts,99-00 Tailights. oh yeah im not planing on changing the front end so dont ask..

Good to hear you got something out of all that work you put into it when it wasn't even yours yet. Looks pretty darn good. Can't tell from the pics but your DIY headlights and grill look great to me. Gotta love the white coupes!

ima do one more photoshot, then ima start working on getting it repainted... its gonna stay white.. but adding a twist to it... eheh i dont want to give it out cause last paint scheme i was plaining on doing some guy from sum car club took the idea and the thing is that he knew i was about to do it and now i heard from one of he crew mates that his car is in the shop getting it done... bastard.. it was going to be that RSX orange.. (dont know actual name) in the lower body with a flamenco black pearl top but a gold pearl added to clearcoat... to give it a lil "bling" as some call it CF hood with CF trunk... then wheels... dont know which ones yet... but you'll see.. eheh

ok so i was at work and was bored as hell... walked outside and just like everyone else wants to be... next to me... i see this...

what can i say... The COUPE is hot.. not even the "exotic" cars can stay away... lambos and even the new FORD GTs always ride/park by ROXY.... LOL

i did do a lil work to her...

cant see what it is.... here let me give you a closer look....

now some people might say.. TURBO TIMER WHAT?!... no no no kids... its a N/A Timer... i drive her hard daily... but i do take care of her... oil is changed like every month TOPS... and now i let her relax and leave her running to cool herself off....

sorry i dont have pics of the foggies yet.. since i've been hella busy.. with helping a friend with sum of his "TEAMS" cars for a show... today actually.. and i've been sick.. well hopefully i will go out and take sum shots of her after the show.. and maybe show you guys the S2K i've been working on... and a WRX....

ok Kids... it has FINALLY ARRIVED... only thing is there is GOOD news and BAD news.. ok first the good news.. the exhaust came in a day early and drove to work to pick it up..

Mike wraped this and packed it good.. took me a bit to take it out of the wraping...

Jock my Aluminum Race Jack that the good ol' Snap-On truck brought me...

and the last shot... i'll explain why its the last shot for now...

ok so i had a feeling it would be short cause of the swap... but didnt worry too mucha about it while it was on its way since i was hoping i would be wrong... i laid it out under the stock exhaust system and noticed that it was SHORT!!!! about 3 or 4 INCHES!!!.. so now i have to get an extension piece done and get two o2 sensor bungs welded in... im bumed out about it but know it comes with the territory..

if i remember right i paid like 300 for it with the matching aluminum jack stands.... the lift is great on them... and can clear some LOW cars... light for being a full size jack...IMO :TU: :TU: :rockon:

ok.. i have bad news followed by great news... so yesterday i got a hold of some no name 4-2-1 Stainless steel LS header and went to work on getting everything put on... it was the right lenght... BUT.. the flange that bolted to the head was a lil to big... up and down... everything lined up but the bottom part of flange hit the decklid on the block and wouldnt sit flush... and the lower pips of the header hit my oil pan... so stock exhaust went back on and so did my DC header.......... so today i head to a muff. shop that does great work... i was there at 7:45 i paid 60 bucks to get an adapter made...i didnt want the exhaust or header cut cause im going to be buying a toda header or a hytech header hopefully by the end of the year and selling my current DC header.. i know those headers would be the right lenght so there is no reason to cut my header cause i wont be able to sell it.. and no point in choping up the exhaust cause i would have to redo it.... ANYHOW!... THE EXHAUST IS IN AND IM LOVING IT... only thing is that it kinda sticks out a lil more than i tought it would... but overall im happy with it.. tone with and without silencer isnt all that bad... im tryin to get a camera for tonight so i can post pics of it tonight.. i know i've been laggin on it so if the rain holds off.. ima have an update tonight...

effing amazing! awesome new shots, Luis! your car is looking mean! the exhaust looks hot out back. :TU: only thing i don't really like is the color of the fog housing. they look a little too orangey. i think they'd look better the stock clear color with yellow bulbs.

im running the silencer on the street cause it would be loud without it at night... but as soon as i hit the track... its coming out..

ok... the vids dont really do justice to the actual sound... YES it sounds great without it... ... NOW WITH IT... it still sounds good.. it really doesnt rattle that way "under load"... remember Vtec hits at hight RPM.. but wont hit when im just reving... so it makes a diff...

so i dug this thing up and have made minor changes.. the n/a timer is out... wheels are probably going to be sold..... and also my aem sri will be sold soon too, as i was heading home from work today a pair of integras ran up beside me... didnt pay much attention... until i saw the one in the back... some local girl that rolls GSR TURBO!.. but i was like ok i know who you are... next thing i know the one on the side of me takes off... TURBO ALSO.. black smoke like crazy (runnin rich) and i came to the conclusion... I MISS NOT BEING TURBO!.. but not sure if i really want to do it... it would be more of a bling factor..... so i might try to get a few favors called in and see if anyone has spare turbo parts lying around that they are willing to donate to me... YES I AM TRYING TO PIECE A TURBO KIT TOGETHER!... i will end up cleaning it up... but dont know yet... i might hit up a few shops see if they would be willing to help out... but ima take my time... im hitting up a show this sat. and im hoping to get a few pix in of my ride... HOPING!.. i just need to sell all my other stupid shiet i got... so i can get my car painted by december and also find some JDM wheels... and steering wheel... im taking considerations on the paint also... so holla at me shiet do a photoshop so i can see....

ok so i FINALLY got my lazy as$ up to wash the car and do a small shoot.... IN THE DAY!... ehehe.... so since the last update i got my power steering back on, Naman hooked it up with the A/C system, got a KILLER DEAL on REAL JDM Window Visors... believe it or not... 50 BUCKS!!!!!, and James... aka MR SKUNK 2 Himself.. hooked it up with a Type R shift boot... CLEAN... ahh yeah.... i got S2K pedals on my whip now... they grip my shoes like a dirty hore askin for money!... up next is a coin pocket or clock.... who knows... now onto the pix

the shoot was taken downtown OSIDE!... (city i live in) ontop a new parking structure....

Repping up one of Team Alpha 1 sponsors Shinning Monkey.... yes.. i said one of....also notice the VISORS!....

just showin love to my fams... Team Alpha 1 and JDMCC!... once again notice the visors...

what a "stock" engine bay looks like... PS and A/C... the bay was cleaned like a week ago!... stilll clean

So after all this SOHC bashing you're building one up. Haha, that's cool though, SOHC's are fun because stuff is cheap and relatively easy to find. There's lots of cool things you can do with just factory parts also. Find some ZC gears and you'll be all over DOHC's, gearswaps make a huge difference.

Chris how was the "Q"?.... i think i found a Ex tranny but either 3rd or 5th gear grinds... if its 5th i dont care.... its RARELY gonna see the highway... another one of my friends has a SI trans but the main shaft seal is leaking.... so i might experiment with a VX trans that i got.... i told my friends last night that ima take it to the runs with the car striped 1 seat, NOS on the passanger side and slicks... but Trailer the damn thing just to scare people... ehehe.... im out on a mission to take out some "Ks"..... sorry chris and nelson... but the time has come....... FOR EVERYONE to give the SOHC its proper respect....

ok... so i was over at JDMConcepts.. nelsons fav place... anyhow.. so yeah i was there with a local crew.. Team FIRME.. (spanish)... they had a dyno day 3 pulls for 60 bucks not to bad IMO.. a few nice cars... some to mention were a DelSol with SOHC N/A from what i was told doin 172HP to the wheels!!.. a N/A ls Vtec doin 210hp the homies from firme took a b20vtec coupe.. stock block stock head TURBO and it pumped out 345hp on 12psi.....it was fun... i did dyno mine but without being prepared.. meaning i did it at the end of the night... so considering i needed a full tune up and valve adjustment.. i pumped out 152hp no N2o (nitrous) with nitrous i pumped 175hp but the timing was bad and it would start fallin on its face after 7500 rpm... so i know i can hit bout 180 after a lil bit of maint. and NO I DIDNT GET PIX... cause i didnt think it was gonna be a good turnout... DigitalH. friend with the red integ showed up and he got like 172-180 hp na from what i know.. real chill guy if ya ask me... and a nice integ in person... but on that note... the Nitrous is comming out of my car... and being transfered to my current "project/toy"...

ok... havent shown anything in a while... my throw out bearing is going out and i havent had time to replace it so the civic is outta comission for a week.... damn work is killin me... ima be rollin in the beemer.... on another note.. now a small update i got home last night to find my Street Team all working on the car.. as far as sanding down the car and painted most of the body.. except the fenders, front bumper and part of the hood..... the hood is a CF hood but had some minor cracks so im going to fiberglass the affected areas and leave the center CF... anyhow.. check the pix out and let me know what you guys think

the fenders should be done this week and the car should be fired up this week also... DOHC WATCH OUT!!!

ok somewhat of an update... to the project sohc it.... car is up and running.. still trying to locate a reasonably priced Sohc tranny.. ex/si MANUAL.... so the vx trans is on for the mean time... this thing holds gears for days!!!.. first gear is up to like 50mph! it sucks... nitrous system is going in, in the next few das... and I'm gonna start building a spare block for high comp. there is still more work to be done but I'm just glad the car drives.... 100 shot is next.... how long it will hold.. ehhh i don't know and really don't care.... for those of ya that clowned on the SOHC and gave up on them.... hope you keep an eye out for this...... just might change your mind.....

flat blacked the int. looks a lot better in my opinion

fixed the hood from the cracked corners so i had to do something bout the repairs... so a Lil flat black did the job...

just a closer shot of the repair.. not perfect but a lot better than before...

just a simple shot of the motor.. I'll get a shot of the block later to show ya... SOHC VX BOTTOM END... STOCK! bottom to be exact!!

last but surely not least.. a side top shot....
