City Lights??!!??

aight heres the deal. I bought these JDM styling..yes styling... lights as a set w/ vision amber corners and I noticed something different than the stock, and the one piece projectors I had. I know squat about citylights so bare with me.. What im basicly asking you guys is if im supposed to use a 194 bulb as I've seen on h-t threads? It looks like the same is the corner bulbs.. and two, wiring..? Do I wire this to turn on steadily with my corners? I know it doesnt turn on with the H4 bulbs.. thanks in advance!

cool right on man.. I kinda expected it but just wanted to make sure before i spend numerous amounts of money on bulbs.

By the way, I dont have a wiring harness for it.. Didnt come with one and i dont really feel like ordering the $30 one from passwordjdm since I have had bad experiences with em...

any way of wiring it so the citylights dont turn on with the lowbeams..?

It wouldn't really make a difference if your lowbeams are on anyway because the lowbeams would far outpower the city lights... just wire it up with the corners.

Thats the problem... green is for flasher, red is for steady low beams.. black is ground.. Im not really diggin to pay for the harness so I think I'll skip on the idea.. I thought Id be able to just turn them on with the ambers through the green wire, but I dont want my citylights flashing with my corners hahaha

I believe on the real deal japanese front ends, the city light comes on and stays on, while the corner light/side markers only blink but do not stay on.
The city lights are supposed to be dim-ish, not super bright.

The way i ran mine, was, cut the power from the corner light and ran it to the city light, so its on when you turn the parking lights on. But still allows the corner lights to blink, but not stay on. Like the real japanese lights.

this is exactly true. The corner markers are not parking lights but only blinkers as are the sidemarkers. The city lights served as parking lights. :TU: btw: nice watch lex luthor. :P

i am gonna be gettin some jdm headlights soon and install citly lights...this thread will help out alot...thanks
