hello, my name is Kristen, and this is my ride. its a 95 EJ1 which is always under construction. it's cam a long way from how it used to be. i'll try to do as thorough of a build as i can. if i remember things, i'll update it as i can. and REMEMBER, it needs alot of work. thanks for looking.
here is one of the first pics i have of her, right after a little work was already done. i really don't have any pics of it stock.
a little whle after, we did the ITR wheels black, they are just painted for now,but will go for powdercoat soon. they look really bad in these pics, they look better normally
some alright pics from last summer, a carbon hood was added, some amber corners and a jdm ITR muffler.
here are a couple of motor pics that same day. the bay looks so poopy. it needs to be repainted bad. here is the setup at the time of this pic......
usdm GSR motor and trans
all stock internal
ACT stage 2 clutch
AEM short ram intake
DC 4-2-1 header
Skunk2 intake mani
Denso iridium plugs
MSD 8.5 superconductors
Skunk2 factory chipped p28
and shortly after these pics were taken, a tragedy happened. i was racing Ron and beating him, when i missed 3rd, overrevved and bent some valves. needless to say, my motor was done. it sat for a while until we could save up some money. our good friend pb( Suja 1 Motoring) was selling a very nice head, so we picked it up! here are some pics of what happened during that time.
right after the head was pulled
and a couple of the new head and parts
while Ron was in the process of reassembling the head, another disaster happened. he was torquing the last cam holder bolt and it snapped off inside the head. so, he had to take it back off and back to Suja 1 to get extracted. shortly after, we had it back.
a few during reassembly
it wasn't fully done in those pics. we got in such a hurry to finish it, we didn't get any more while it was being finished.
here is the new motor setup as of now
usdm GSR bottom end
jdm CTR head
Suja 1 Motoring port and polish and 3-angle valve job
port matched AEBS intake mani
jdm CTR cams
Omni valvesprings
Supertech hi-comp flat valves and titaniium retainers
Portflow valve guides
new OEM honda valve stem seals
STR cam seal
ARP headstuds
Mugen hi-comp headgasket
Hondata intake mani gasket
DC 4-2-1 header
ACT stage 2 clutch
Denso iridium plugs
MSD 8.5 supers
SKunk2 factory chipped p28
it is an amazing difference with the head work. it really rips hard now. oh, i forgot this stuff
SUSPENSION AND BRAKES
ITR 5-lug conversion
ITR stock struts
SPW coilovers
ITR wheels
Axxis ultimate pads front and rear
Kumho 711 rubber(temporary)
cheap ebay strut bar
INTERIOR
jdm Sir front seats
new black carpet
ITR shift boot
Spoon sports DURACON shift knob
and another disaster happened recently. i was involved in an accident and my front end got pretty messed up. here's some pics.....
the insurance adjuster came, so we're just waiting to hear back from them. we already have all of the replacement parts lined up. plus a new carbon hood! it will all be getting put on, motor pulled, and it should go off for paint if everything goes well. here's a couple more parts waiting to go on after paint...
i'll keep you guys updated. thanks for looking!!

:TU: alright guys and girls, i know its been too long. we were trying to work things out with the insurance company. they were trying to screw me over. also, its been soooo cold, so there has been no motivation to work on it. but, i finally got Ron out there on sunday. he got the motor out and some of the damaged parts off. still alot of work left before it can go for paint. i'll post some pics tomorrow of the progress so far. also, all of my new parts are ordered!!!:D

glad to hear the your making progress...
jdmgirl4
03-22-2006, 08:05 PM
ok, if some of you don't know, i was involved in an accident recently. the whole front end is pretty much trashed(see previous pics). and since the radiator support needed to be changed out, why not pull the motor and paint the whole engine bay, right! it was really nasty anyway. so, here is some pics of the progress, not a whole lot. there is only about 3 hours of work in it so far. there is still a ton of shit to do to get it ready for the body shop. the radiator support still needs to be changed, fenders, bumper support, bumper, and a new windshield when i comes back. it will also receive a badly needed wire tuck, as you can see. here you go....
and you should always label parts when doing this kinda stuff...
and while these were being taken, i realized that i never took pics of my SiR seats. they came from a RHD EG6, not much different from usdm ones. they just have a very nice material and pattern you can't get here.
there will be more updates soon, i should be getting my new parts in soon. also, the motor will receive a nice cleaning and refinish. stay tuned and thank for looking.:)

ok, finally an update on my car. its pretty much been sitting in the same condition as the last post. there was a huge lack of motivation, time, and parts. so finally i kicked Ron's ass into gear and he got some stuff done, finally! he removed the rest of the stuff from the engine bay, so the firewall could be easily painted. here are a few of that. don't mind how dirty it is..please.
ok i don't know if you can really tell, but if you look at the last set of pics, there is alot more removed now. after that, he started on the wire tuck. i can't even stress how bad the engine bay used to look. all of the ABS wiring just ruins it. so, he started on the easy side first, the drivers side. if you really want to know how crowded it was or how much the wiring stood out, refer to previous pics. anyone who has done this will reallly appreciate this, because it really is a pain in the booty. here are a few pics.
you start with something like this, the wires aren't in their exact location, but most of you know.
after yo know what you need to do, find out where you want it to go... here is the spot we chose for it to enter the fender area.
ok then we started cutting!! the scary part! well not really but here's where it started...
then.....you cut!!
ok, then you pull your wires through your hole, then start reconnecting and soldering them back together. you should end up with something like this....
after a little bit, they are all back together. time to get them wrapped up. so here you go...just how Honda should have done it in the first place.
then we pulled them tight into the fender well, and started getting them secure. if you set it up right, a couple of the original connectors will go into holes and be supported and tight.
and heres how it looks near the firewall.
it should pretty much look this bare after its done. after the new paint, there will be a couple more small things to mount back, but no wiring!! so much better.
thanks for looking. there will be more updates as the work gets done. my ej1 is on its way to being nice once again!

a bit different from what i've seen but keep it up!! keep us updated..
Wow Kristen I am so glad you updated this I didnt know if you guys were gonna keep going with it. But Trust I have faith in you to!!!
That wire tuck is gonna be awesome I really think you guys should do a How to on this I have never seen it that well documented before! Its always been like" you take the harness out and do this and that and then you dont see it"
Good work on it and I hope to see it done!
o0o By the way we both might be riding on White Ej1's if I can seal a deal with Bill on his white EJ1!
jdmgirl4
05-11-2006, 06:19 PM
thanks edwin! i hope you can get it!
alright, got a little done today. we halted work on the wire tuck for now. its something that can be done after it comes back from paint. thats the major concern right now. i want it off to the body shop in like 2 weeks. so, Ron started fixing the rear quarter panels today. my car has the normal "hondarot" just like most others, but its not as bad as some. it is fixable without replacing the whole rear quarter panel. here are a few crappy shots they were taken quickly,so they look like ****. they should be done in a couple days, then better pics.
a shot of the rust, this spot hasn't been touched yet, i didn't get a pic of the bad spot before it was started on.but you get the idea
ok, here's what the bad one looked like after the rust was cut out
so, what to do about this. well, you can get a whole new quarter, but we decided just to weld in some new metal. it would be very hard to follow the shape of the panel if you were just to try to cut it out of some sheet metal. there is an alternative though. you can use a piece from the front fender of the corresponding side. the line is almost identical if you cut it right.
so this is it all ready to weld, we got a little done, but didn't have time to finish,so i will post pics of it when done.
expect udated pics of how it turns out within the next couple days. thans for looking as always.:)

ok i finally got my parts!!yay for me!! so work started on removing the radiator support. and lemme tell you, this is a pretty big pain in the patoot. the driver's rear quarter is almost done, pics soon. but in the meantime, here are some during and after the removal process.
a few just after starting, drilling out welds
it was very time consuming, although a fun experience. here are some of it off
and a few of the new one, test fitted and ready to weld!
well, there it is. some pretty decent progress, i think. i know it seems like we are jumping from project to project, but trust me it is all getting attention. more pics soon! thanks for looking.:TU:
YAY for Kristen and this Hell of a Coupe! I cant wait to see it done!

ok guys and gals, i know its been a long time. but, we've been concentrating really hard on getting things done right. i'll show some of the better pics of what went down over the time. engine bay was completely shaved, rust fixed, and radiator support completey done. i'll let the pics speak.
if you remember from before, we cut the rust out of the rear quarters and all that was left was a big hole. here is the finished product, new metal welded in and finished smoooth!
there was also a bad situation with the trunk lid, it had the oem spoiler on it. but, the previous owner murdered the lid while installing it. we ended up just cutting out the general area, because it was so bad. here is one of the peices we cut out.you'll see the finished product after paint, didn't take any after pics.sorry
and a couple pics of the super sexy shaved bay, its gotta be shaved;)
and we did a quick test fit before it went off for paint. REMEMBER all of the parts are just pretty much sitting there, the fitment is perfect though when fully bolted down.
ooooh, NO NIPPLES
alright, that's all for now, and we sent if off for paint two days ago, so expect some sneak peeks of the paint soon. thanks for looking:TU:

ok everyone, i have my car back. and i want you guys to count down the days for us. i have until next friday to have the car in good running order. its registered for HIN-Nightshift, so it has to be done. i mean, its gonna be showing with the Suja 1 crew( i know you're jealous:lol: ) alright i'm gonna show the car in its current state so you can see how much work there is to be done in such a short amount of time. i will also show a few before and afters just for the hell of it. I"M SO EXCITED!!!
first off, one side shot. no full body shots yet! i like to keep you in suspense!
here is how the engine bay looked before the teardown, nasty i know.
after the wreck with the old radiator support off.
with the new support test fitted
with it all welded up and bodywork started
new paint!
ooooh how smooth
ok, now some of the current state of the interior,SiR seats out and old carpet still in
some before and afters of the motor, its still not done yet though.
BEFORE:
AFTER INTIAL WIRE BRUSH CLEAN:
RIGHT NOW, AFTER REFINISHING, STILL NOT DONE:
and a couple shots of some of the wire tuck, NO half assing here. we decided to re-do it and run on the inside of the rail instead of just zip tying it to the outside like alot of people do. it was much more work this way,but its better IMO. this is just the passenger side, more shots later.
alrighty, expect more updates daily. and oh yeah...........................
T-MINUS 9 DAYS AND COUNTING!!!!!!!!!!!

actually, we just finished up the non-abs system today. well almost, still gotta mount the booster and mc. so we went to the junk yard today to get the brake lines and non -abs prop valve, and we spotted a coupe with a full black interior. so i had to snag the back seat from it. my interior is light gray, so i'm slowly trying to make it all black. i just acquired a black dash last night(thanks to Jay from Suja 1! thanks papisan!) anyway, heres a few pics, more soon.
a couple of the new lines and prop valve- nothing too big look at.

11-17-2007, 04:34 PM
well, we just don't have the money to do the things we want to it. all it does is just sit there in the driveway. might as well make some money and pay off some bills with it. its too hard to fund multiple projects and i just don't want it sitting and rotting away.mostly, we could really use the money.

i feel you.
let me know if you would want to sell intake, or PM a price.
