OK, so I'm trying to do a basic ignition tune up here. Spark plugs, plug wires, distributor cap, rotor. Is it worth me changing out the coil also or are there any other parts that any of you can think of that would be worthy of changing out at the same time? Thanks for any input.

IMO yes, cause wear and tear add up, and a new one would give off a better spark.

Are there any particular parts companies you know of that would be good? Keep in my I'm looking for simply OEM replacement.

OK, so NGK is good stuff. Pretty sure those are the plugs I usually get. Now to the second question. Of the parts I listed are there any that wouldn't make sense to change or some that I did not list that should probably be changed with the ignition tune up? I know cap, rotor, and wires go together, but what about any other parts? Obviously some parts don't wear as quickly as others so I'm debating on things like the coil and such.

coil should be fine but if you got the time and money and just want to take extra precaution then go ahead and change it...

Since NGK doesn't make dizzy caps and rotors is there any brand you would recommend there? The auto stores have some much now!

OEM replacement or a true Honda part? I know I can get OEM replacements for both the cap and rotor for about $40 or so.

gotcha, well I'll have to look into that because I'm guessing that will be a little pricey.

Well in my search it seems like all I've found of NGK were blue wire sets. Do they not come in just good ol plain black anymore? OEM rotor and cap are already in a box waiting for me to pick some wires.

that's the only thing, i'm pretty sure they only come in blue.
