K24 with type s head??

well i came across a great deal, my buddy is willing to trade me a Type S long block and the TSX K24 block with all internals(brand new with 0 miles on it...he got it for cost at work) for my complete swap= B16aSir2 with lsd with my Js racing intake and type r header

but the type s block has a tiny crack, he said put the type s head on the k24 block and it would be insane

what are your thoughts??? :TU: or :TD:

i would have to get motor mounts, wiring harness, 6spd trans
i dont mind doing the work, and i have a daily driver so time is not an issue

ya thats not an issue, i dont care how long it takes, if i work while im away at college and i have some $ saved up now, and after edwin pays me back....i should have enough for the trans and whatever else

ill only be able to work on it during thanksgiving break and xmas and spring break the lastest, since im going back to college in 12 days

but if i jb weld the type s block...do i just sell it?? cause wouldnt the k24 block be better?

Sounds good. Just do all of the research for everything including getting K-Pro and tuning.

Skunk2 has a K24 bottom block with Golden Eagle sleeves and ARP main studs and ARP head studs for 1200 :TU:

I'd do it :TU: Thats a great deal for the items your gettin. K24 TSX block is a very good block, pretty much the same as the type s block, just a bigger bore and stroke.

im still trying to figure out the prices for everything else, so far hasport race motor mounts and 400hp rated axles= $1388

still would need an intake, header, wiring harness and 6spd trans(which i dunno where the hell i could find one)

so yea this is def going to take time, prolly by next summer i hope

any one know how much the k24 block and type s head is worth?

not that much...my buddy traded a complete GSR for a complete K20 but if its a complete long block prolly about $1500 if there is a crack in it...
