Hey everyone, I drive a 93 frost white dx coupe. I got it december of 2002 stock as a rock. Its changed since then. Got rid of the rust, blew a motor.....that whole nutshell. First year the mods consisted of some of the usual "hey im 16, i dont have much money, rice parts are cheap" stuff. Clear corners were on in no time, the 17's got put on(car not lowered), and blue under glow and catback exhaust. thank god i got out of that quick. I changed it around and here are the mods currently.
Exterior-
Amber corners
Oem foglights
Oem Lip
Carbon Fiber Hood
20% tint
Luminics JDM yellow headlight and foglight bulbs
Interior-
B&M dual bend short shifter
Type R replica knob
Del sol seats
ITR shift boot
JDM Gauge cluster
Engine-
d16z6
CAI(converted to short ram, hydrolocked the old motor because of it)
4-2-1 header
custom 2.5" catback exhaust w/ off the shelf muffler(actually sounds nice)
zex 55 shot
Suspension/Wheels/Tires-
17" ADR Pro-concept
205/40-17 Kumho Ecsta tires
13" vx wheels
some cheap tires
Neuspeed Race Springs
Spoon strut bar
Electronics-
Sony CD player
Polk 6.5" speakers in rear
Pioneer 6.5" speakers in doors
Viper Alarm
Future Mods-
Edelbrock intake manifold
Akmee cam
p29 pistons
Custom rear Strut bar that actually works
Energy suspension Shifter bushings and Motor mount inserts
KYB or Koni adjustables
Rear sway bar kit w/ new lca's and subframe brace
lamin-x the fog lenses yellow
rear disc brake conversion
and probably some other stuff i cant think of off the top of my head
and now for the pics
after the rims and clear corners lol
Car lowered on h&r sports(not low enough), and a glimpse of my exhaust
the mighty b7(actually won its fair share of races paired to a z6 tranny)
Hyrdolocked the b7
in goes the z6(dont mind everything shitty in the pic)
hello clear corners
goodbye clear corners, hello ambers. woot woot.(take not of the street name)
picked me up some fogs, but something is still missing.
oh yea, the lip. night and day difference.
20% tint, scratched back bumper, the works.
shot of the wheels in motion(i probably looked rediculous hanging out my window for this shot.)
yellow headlights, white fogs. see the difference? ill have to get a pic of the yellow fogs up too.
some people dont like the yellow, but not many around here rock em, so i do. i like the light they put out.
del sol seats, picked them up for 60 for the pair. mint condition. what a steal.
rollin on the steelies, lowered on Neuspeed race springs(my door looks whiter than everything else in the pic)
picked this bad boy up for 200 bucks from a local dude.
yea boi
i got some camber issues up front
thats all the pics I want to put up for now. enjoy. what do you guys think? yay or nay? a barage of springtime pics will come when i get the 17's back on(tires got slashed). god I hope i didnt forget anything

just finished the install of the b&m short shifter and type R replica knob. It is such a better combo than the ebay shifter and pep boys knob. I would definately reccomend anybody in the market for a shortshifter to stay away from cheap ebay stuff that breaks(happened to mine) and pay a little extra for the b&m, and the knob is weighted so it shifts a lot nicer.
please excuse the ghost orb in the last pic.
the only reason the ebay one was shorter was because the shifter broke at the threads.
next on the list is urethane shift bushings and red stitch shift boot.

Here are a couple pics of the car rollin on zhan28's da gsr wheels. I lent him some money so I get to keep these till he pays me back. I actually just got new tires for the 17's so when i get back from colorado on wednesday I think im going to have to take a little photoshoot. That is if it doesnt snow here while im gone
those wheels don't look too bad on there. i wouldn't mind having a set for the winter-time so i wouldn't have to roll on steelies.
i really like your car, but there is one thing i must suggest. i would get a hair dryer and put it to that dealer badge on the trunk lid right away. if you can get that hunk of plastic off it will really clean up the rear of the car :TU:

update-
the 17's are on the car now. now with kumho ecsta tires same size. Makes the car look a lot better in my opinion. also I took the dealer badge off the back along with the civic sticker.
No more dealer badge!!! but still the scratched up back bumper.
big brake kit lol:lol:
i think it looks better now w/ the whole black and white goin on.
car is raised up a little but at least i dont scrape everywhere now.
your coupe looks great with the rims back on. nice job on shaving those badges on the back too. much cleaner that way.
only thing i don't like is the actual size of the wheels. i think you may have been talking about getting smaller wheels, which IMO would be the way to go. some 15s would look really good on there. the 17s almost just seem too big, but its your car. (plus i think you just bought new tires, right? lol :knockout:)

nice work though man. you'll hafta do another shoot now that you debadged the rear and got some tires for your rims. i'm going to HAVE to organize a Midwest Clan meet now. you're inspiring me, haha.

Picked up a real spoon sports front strut bar today for a good price. I would have had the rear too but it wouldnt fit. I got them from zhan w/ the b20vtec DA. if you know anybody that wants a real spoon rear strut bar for a da in good ass condition let me know. anyways....there is a noticable difference. car takes corners better now. Im going to be making a custom solid 1 pc. rear strut bar for my car soon, none of that crap w/ pivot points and all. should be good, and cost effective. anyway, here a couple pics.
yea boi, real spoon.

hey man, very nice so far. love the last pics, nice photoshoot. every set of wheels looks hot on your car, but id definatly clean up those gsr's and rock them :TU:
keep it up!
spoon bar looks nice. glad to see people rocking the good stuff. :TU: your custom one-piece rear bar sounds like a fun project. wish i had access to the materials needed to do that. best of luck with it. ;)

sadly the gsr rims arent mine. my buddy lent them to me and now they are back on his car. maybe i can convince him to lemme borrow them for a good shoot.
about the rear bar, if it goes as planned, it will be pretty straight forward and easy. maybe i can sell some if the demand is enough. and they will work too because they wont have the normal pivot points that cheaper strut bars have. if i were to start making them, i wouldnt be charging much more than they cost to make. I told my friend w/ a crx that i would make one for the cost of the materials plus 20 bucks for labor. I hate it when companies are charging 5x or more then the material costs just for labor.
I hate it when companies are charging 5x or more then the material costs just for labor.
i know what you're saying, but part of that cost comes from the R&D efforts that go into each product. not to mention the facilities, machines, and labor required to mass produce them. the other reason products like Spoon, Mugen, Cusco, etc. cost more is because they actually fit correctly and they work. all those bars on eBay are cheap because they can fit virtually any car (being that they're adjustable) and they're made out of crap materials.
but if you can come up with a good product that will generate demand and can be sold for a fair price, more power to ya man. :TU: i'm definitely rooting for you.

yea im more talking about turbo manifold makers. I do realize that there is some development and trial and error that goes into it all, but when some of the manifold companies that are making and selling on demand have some of the worst service ever ALONG with charging insane prices on their parts, thats where i draw the line. some manifold makers will take orders non stop, but not be able to fullfill the order untilmaybe 6 months later. to me that is just wrong. if you cant fill an order, dont take it.
now that ive completed my rant, thanks for the comments on the car everybody. it keeps me poor

If i got hids, they would be yellow. I like the light that the yellow puts out, its different. nobody around here rocks yellow headlights, so whenever someone is driving and sees yellow headlights, they give me a call and tell me they see me. lol.
i really like this one.... :TU:

I felt saucy wednesday and ordered me up a siR guage cluster and ITR shiftboot from passwordjdm.com. Ill post a few pics of them in the car when they come in and i get time to put putting them in. finished the nitrous install last week too, here are a few pics of it. zex dry 55 shot w/ zex nitrous ejector air filer and zex bottle heater. yes the car is dirty, I need to wash it. Before I run it im getting colder plugs just to be safe, and running car on 91 oct. gas.
Bottle mounted wrapped in the heater.
Zex filter, nitrous line wrapped in wire loom to keep it as stealth as possible(as if the zex filter with something going into it is stealt lol)
switch inside of the coin pocket, again for stealthiness.
The "smart box" is behind the center console.
stealthy install for the nitrous switch. bet that thing will scoot on that 55 shot of spray. keep us updated once you get her going on the bottle.:TU: ;)

just a little update on things to come,
Picked up a NRG rear strut bar for 40 bucks, should arrive here on saturday or monday.
future mods have changed slightly-
good sized rear swaybar w/ new lca's and subframe reinforcement brace
upgrade the suspension w/ either koni yellows and keep neuspeed springs, or pick up a omnipower full coilover setup
skunk2 intake manifold
akmee type s valvetrain kit
p29 pistons
ls rods
cometic headgasket
hondata thermal intake manifold gasket
arp head studs
acl bearings
and then somewhere down the line a high end header like bisi or smsp.
looking to make at least 140 to the wheels, my tuner says he can easily make that. hoping to get into the 14's with the setup w/o spraying.
