More questions, how do yall wash your engine bays? Also how do you paint your valve cover? what kinda paint, and how do you keep the honda logo from getting painted?

as for cleaning...engine degreasers are good. painting the valve cover use high temp paint obviously. you can just sand the letters after the paint has dried to make them look non painted

i clean the bay by useing simple green. just cover up all the exposed wires and then spray simple green over eveything...then rinse with a hose....to get all the guck and stuff off the block use engine degreeser....and for the valve cover i would use wrinkle paint..makes it looks a little better...u can pick all this stuff up at your local auto parts store

What about your headers, its prolly not true but i heard somwhere if you clean them with water theyll crack. I was thinking thats only possible if you just got thru doing a heavy run or somthing.

wait tell your car cools down. let it sit for a while then clean your bay......and wait a while for it dry off afterwards

the way i was taught to clean the engine bay is nail the hard parts with carb cleaner and spray it down with water..wait 15 mins nail the whole engine bay with degreaser and wait for 15 mins then rinse it down with water...after its all watered down you should see that when u rinse over a area its not white with film n e more..after all the degreaser has been rinsed along with the build up of gunk on ur motor...let it sit for 10 mins and then start it up and dont stay to close to the engine bay while its burnin off the rest of the degreaser...may require 5-15 mins of idling

I fig it was made on a fri so that's why it's upside down lol. I was mad at first, but now it doesn't bother me. That's the first thing people notice when I pop my hood though lol. The sticker isn't red, it's just the reflection off my hood in it :lol:

taht would be a breather...there is a line that goes there origanlly that connets to the air intake...so if u plug up the hole in the intake u can out a little breather on teh valve cover

Doesn't that piping that was originally there throw hot air back into the engine? Therefore making the car suck in warm/hot air. That kind of messess with the purpose of a cold air. I also think that it messes with emisions doesn;t it, it is there to circulate fumes that weren't burned off completely. I had one one there because my intake didn't have the hole for it. I don't remember if i had it in the picture i posted earlier.
