Climate Control and Audio Bezel

Hey guys. Anybody know how to take off the bezel that surrounds the Climate control and your CD player. You know the one that's shaped like a rectangle.

I need to paint my dash back and I was planning on masking it off. But it would make the finished product so much cleaner if i went through the trouble to take it of.

I tried to pry it off but i'm afraid i might break something. So i just want to know if you can take this off without actually breaking it.

p.s. and no, I'm not trying to learn this to break into peoples' cars to steal their audio deck. =P

if you're wanting to paint the dash black, i suggest just buying a black dash, it's a lot nicer and less prone to peeling. as far as the bezel, it just has clips, so pry it out carefully

I've tried taking mine off before, and got scared I was going to break it so I just left it alone. I tried everything and it still didnt come off. I do know that it has screws behind it holding it in. Exactly how many I dont know, I took all of the ones off that I could see, and am sure that there are alot more behind there that you cannot see. To me, it looked like you would have to have the dash completely out to be able to get to all of the screws to get that piece off.

negative james... i have taken out 2 or 3 of those bezels.... there are a few that are hard to get to and you just have to use a bit of imagination to get them out.... look for a helms copy so you can decipher it...
