Which is the best one. LS, b16, or b18. which is best out of these 3. I know the b18 comes better stock but lot of ppl are telling me that the ls has potential and so does the b16 im sorta cofused lol. Which is it.

they all have potential b16 arent all that stock!!! singles with the right bolt ons keep up with b16's..gsr are very good engines very good i myself have one!!ls motors are good as well.because u can do a lsvtec setup to it but when u do that u must build it right!!u can build it with oem parts just have to be vtec like gsr rods,water pump,oil pump shit like that but its all up to u and how much cash u got and wat motor is available i would say gsr!!cuz with the right bolt on's that bitch is quick!!!!!!lsvtecs are beasts as well!!lotta torque!!b16's are a good start!!!just my 2 centsalso are u going boost or all motor!!!!!

well he's trying to sell me an LS with a type R tranny with lsd for $600. I want to do it but I wasnt sure if I should or not. I dont wanna invest and then regret it u kno. I always wanted a b16. Whats the difference between the b16a1 and a2 what is all that about?

b16a=1 gen is 160hp b16a2= sencond gen 170hp... imo... a LS turbo with a ITR lsd trans would be plenty... DO IT!

buy it dude that lsd type r tranny is worth about 600 bucks or more


turbo ls is good sinec the ls motor is already low compression where as a gsr and b16 are a lil higher on the comp ratio's. although u can still turbo a stock gsr or b16, its always better to rebuild em with turbo low comp pistons


id say buy the ls motor and type r tranny

b16a1 puts out 160hp and the b16a2 also puts out 160hp, the JDM b16 put out 170hp.

supposedly ive been told the 10 hp diffference between the a1 and a2 has something to do with the rockers and lifters or something in the head, now if thats true or not i dont know...i havent looked into it much.....i was just TOLD that

its the pistons since the b16 has 10.4:1 compression using p30 pistons and the b16a2 has 10.2:1 useing pr3 pistons.

wonder why he is selling so cheap? he a baller or something and got money to play with? is it hot? is it broken? does the seller know the value of the just the tranny alone?

It doesn't matter which engine you choose. Its the headlight fluid you use that'll really make a difference in how fast your car is. :TU:

he has a gsr with the type r tranny. Guys giving 3 car leads to ppl and killin them and the funny thing is he tells ppl its stock. Only intake and header no exhaust. Reason its goin so cheap is because my boys friend has a shop or w/e and hooks him up and wants to hook me up and get rid of that d16. Im gonna do it when i do my taxes cause i can always get it. If not i will just buy me a crash teg from a police auction and swap it. Not really in a rush to do it yet. But its coming for sure.

Can someone list which tegs come with what engine.

I know the gsr comes from the last gen tegs

Don't forget about the muffler bearings, those really make a difference. ;)
