Well, I got a new camera. It's an Olympus SP-350, it's an 8.0MP P&S that I got for a really good price and I'm planning on keeping it for a while to practice and learn before moving on to an DSLR. I've just been experimenting without any conversion lenses or filters. Also no pictures were shot in RAW format (one of the reasons I got it) because I haven't gotten an XD card yet and the internal memory of the camera only holds 2 pics in raw. Having no tripod is owning me as you can see in the second pic, but overall is a good camera which offers a full manual mode including ISO settings and manual focusing, it works well and has very low noise. Tell me what you guys think, I'll be updating this thread periodically as I learn and take more and more pics. Thanks.;)
the shots look awesome man. i can tell you like the macro mode, eh? lol
i REALLY need to get myself a new camera. i would love to start getting deeper into photography with some good equipment.

looks good. The 1st pic looks like the point of focus is in the foreground too much.. the rest of the pic is blurry. :frown:

Thanks, yeah I've always loved macro shots. Basically I was just testing out the macro function of the camera without any HD macro conversion lenses.

Well, it's actually called "bokeh". The name comes from the japanese word "boke" or "blur". As it says on wikipedia, it's basically the out of focus area on the picture, when shooting in macro you want to achieve a certain amount of bokeh. Basically I just focused on the outer rim of the shift knob using a f/2.8 and I believe was a 1/60 shutter.

Yeah it's The Used logo from their latest album.
Thanks for the feedback guys.:TU:

Conversion lenses in Telephoto, Wide, Fisheye and Macro. As for the filters, UV filters, polarizers and fluorescent. I haven't been able to take much pics, I've been busy lately. But here's a couple I took tonight on the way home. Photoshopped into one.

that's a damn good deal!. I got mines for 212 BARE. If you're gonna buy it, I would suggest you looking into conversion lenses and filters. They will improve your pictues 616116916515616 times more. I already got a tripod and olympus 512XD card. The lenses are the next thing on my list. So far I've found 47st. photo. They're a power seller on ebay and they sell Opteka conversion lenses and filters for the SP 350. The have pretty good bundles but since I found the tripod locally for a sweet deal, I'll just end up getting the filters and lenses from them. Especially the .43X Pro fisheye. Can't wait, here's their Ebay store link:
