anyone went to the st patrick day fesitval in san diego?

Saw on the news it was packed on friday night

not me. i've always wondered though, who is St. Patrick? and why is there a national holiday named after him? not trying to start anything here, as I'm part Irish, but I guess I never knew the history behind it.

nope i forgot about it... i didnt find out it was St. Pats. day until late night...
