well, i just got a great deal on a ls block, i dk wether it is a complete or not but, it will cost me 100 plus shipping

i was wondering if i get the ls do i need to tapp the block for squirters? even though i am building it with this:

also what block is better for that build up in your opinion?also what is the diffrences between the ls and gsr? what compression will i be running in the ls if i ran b16a or itr pistons?thanks

I was the one that found him the LS block, and in talking to the guy today on the phone he said the only difference between ls and gsr were the oil squirters and something else (i forget what). He went on to say that all the squirters were for was to further lubricate to make the motor last longer as a stock motor, but for a built race motor they prove useless. I dont know how much fact or fiction is present in this statement, and I am just a messanger so sorry if this is wrong.

itr pistons are better, and u have like 7 threads on building engines, this could have been posted on onee of the many others

well, they were on diffrent topics and if i want this thread to be noticed more, its better to have a new thread. and no i don't have 7, this is my 4th. dude u don't see me ridin u out in threads so keep ur non helpfull thoughts to ur self.thanks (not trying to be rude or disrespectful)

eheh the "squirters" help lub because of the high revs. used in DOHC Vtec motors... thus why LS/Vtecs B20/Vtecs dont last.. for daily driving.. now i know some people might say thats not true but MOST of the LS/V b20/v that i have seen, the bottom end goes.. because lack of proper lubrication.

ls crank or b17 crank in the b16 FTW. Get some custom made pistons and you're set
