So...i got scammed on Ebay

well if u guys dont know my bad luck streak...this tops all of it....

2coupes found me some spoon rims on ebay in another thread....and i bid $800 max and lost but got a 2nd chance, i asked the seller a ? and he said yea...i dont think he saw the email at the bottom that it said to contact...so i figure it was his

well turns out someone else sent me a FAKE 2nd chance thing be4 the real guy did saying its from ebay...(im still kinda new at ebay so that may be the reason i fell for it...) well any ways it said to send the $ thru western union to london(that should of been my hint it was fake) and it would be covered for fraud and ect....

so yesterday i finally get a real email from the guy with the rims saying he never sent it yet...blah blah blah.......

so i call western union and they told me exactly where he got the cash
but said i hadda get a police report...then contact their fraud dept and then after that...contact the FBI and atterny general in NJ?

looks like if i do get the $862 back, it wont be for a long ass time

man that sucks...my brother got scammed a few months back tryin to buy a bike lost 4500 dollars...fbi isnt doin shit for him...anyways sorry to hear your bad luck hope you get it figured out!

that sucks Bill, you shoulda told me that the western union was in London, i worked with western union before and that is what the scammers use, I have been an ebay seller for more than 4 years and have had only minor problems...i only buy or sell if paypal is involved. hope you get your money back

my dads friend got scammed by same guy, same way for almost 2000 like 2weeks ago, so hopefully they catch him soon

Ouch that sucks. Only problem I had was I got an email I thought was from Ebay on my yahoo account. Saying I could upgrade my account to powerseller. I fell for it clicked on it and logged in they stole me ebay account and my yahoo account. After finally getting through to ebay I answered some questions on the stuff I bought over the years and I got that back. My yahoo wouldnt give me my account back saying it wasnt mine. O well lol I have gmail now instead.:TD: yahoo

this sux, no word on it yet.....but...my dads friend i told ya that got screwed by the same guy that screwed me....well his friend ordered a 4000 motor on ebay and got screwed by a different guy in london, same way as us 2 thru western union....

so i dont see why the FBI isnt doing anything about, we all reported it to them


ps. any one see the western union commercial with them giving away 1 million $?

they should be paying the ppl back that used them and got scammed
