just wondering how many of you watched crash and who liked it. im mad i didnt go see it in theater, but i am glad i rented it. this is a great movie that shows a lot of stereotypes in the world today and i loved that the plots make you thing about yourself and if you yourself have any prejudice against others. all i have to say is thanks Oprah(thats how i found out about it, yes i watched Oprah) lol. :TU:

agreed :TU:
my wife and I went to see it when it first came out and really loved it. it dealt with a lot of the issues we have in society today and did a good job of showing the viewer all sides of the story. i also thought it was awesome how there were so many stories going and then they all just connected.
plus this movie won Best Picture of the Year at the Oscars.

what made a bigger impact on me about this movie was knowing the back story on terrence howard. he comes from a bi-racial family and he had an incident like this when he was small where he had to deal with hate. it is a sad story you guys should really read about it.

I'm not a big movie guy, meaning I don't watch a lot of movies and when I do I'm usually just watching it for entertainment. Not much emotional involvement in it for me.
This movie actually made me FEEL while I was watching it. It caught my attention and kept it... that alone tells me this movie is much different than the rest. I have NEVER felt as involved as when I heard that gun go off... I just about jumped up and yelled at the screen... then what happened hit me immediately, and I remember thinking, "damn, this IS a great movie."
:TU: Best picture of the year.
One thing I didn't understand, if someone knows could you PM it to me?
Who trashed the store? Gun shop owner?

i think it was just some random guys who did that, it was just done to tie in the store owner with the mexican locksmith. The store owner didnt understand or didnt want to listen to the locksmith and didnt replace the door so when his store got trashed he blamed the locksmith for not fixing the "lock" eventhough that wasnt the problem.

yeah I understood that, and I knew that the locksmith didn't do it, but I thought maybe it was the gun store owner who did it because he was being all discriminatory to him when he tried to buy the gun and there were racial slurs on the walls... kinda like teaching him a lesson that even though he bought a gun he still wasn't welcome and he could still be a victim... superiority I guess you could call it? Just reaching with my thoughts...
also, if it were the gun store owner, that would tie in even better to the locksmith, since it was the gun store owner who gave her the bullets in the first place.
