We all know about omni, D2, and KSport. We all know about Koni/GC. What we don't know is what the newest bang for the buck coilovers are. Sure, any coilover will make your car feel like "it rides on rails"... because your springs are stiffer than stock hence improving the feel... but are you getting the best? These coilovers have been extensively tested - track and street - and are second to none.

SPECIAL JDMCC ONLY PRICE for ALL Honda/Acura applications!

$675 shipped for the PIC Apex kit (your choice of spring rates).

$950 shipped for the PIC Select kit (your choice of spring rates).

Apex kit:

-full ride height adjustment
-upper pillow mount
-choice of spring rates (each damper valved to spring)
-8k/6k (street comfort)
-10k/8k (street/track novice, occasional)
-12k/10k (street/track experienced)
-all materials are hand picked because of their superior qualities, not because it's cheap (oils, seals, shims, valves)

Select kit:
-full ride height adjustment
-upper pillow mount
-choice of spring rates (each damper valved to spring)
-8k/6k (street comfort)
-10k/8k (street/track novice, occasional)
-12k/8k (street/track experienced)
-custom (you know what you're doing!)
-all materials are hand picked because of their superior qualities, not because it's cheap (oils, seals, shims, valves)
-TRUE 8 way damper adjustability (unlike advertised 32 way adjustables that are only 4 way adjustable proven by shock dynos).

PIC is the proud sponsor of the NASA Honda series this year!

PIC Coilovers... Each carefully constructed on a performance-proven design, meticulously tested and refined, and built to last even as you push your car to the very boundaries of its handling capabilities.

S1M
03-23-2006, 06:03 AM
these are already proven. mid-ohio lap record has been broken by the same person that set it - of course this time, with PIC coilovers.

the price will not go down any further. lowest pricing i've seen for these are on my website. this SPECIAL pricing is for JDMCC members ONLY.

S1M
03-23-2006, 10:52 AM
for under $1k, these are as good as it gets. like i said, BEST bang for buck! for those of you who don't know me, i don't sell stuff i won't run (and i'll be running the SELECT on the CRX) at the end of this season, all road racers will know what PIC is about - performance.

how long does this offer last? i can pick these up if its going to last a while.

S1M
03-23-2006, 05:12 PM
for now, this offer's good until May 1st, 2006. that gives everyone a little over a month to get these amazing coilovers at this price.

unless anyone has some better suggestions? you guys know i'm open to ideas. for example, you and your friends get together and order at least 3 sets for a better discount since that'll cut down on shipping costs... i can probably work something out if that were the scenario.

Hey on the Select kit for the 12k/10k set it says experienced. Is it a pretty crappy ride for daily driving? Been looking at these and the omni set-up but these look a lil better. This car is going to be my weekend toy and track car, but I still drive it every other day for now. Would this be ok on the street?

S1M
04-28-2006, 05:57 AM
12k/10k is a little harsh for some people on the street... but since it's going to be more of a weekend toy and track car, i'd say go for it. i've driven an integra with the 10k/8k selects and 12k/10k selects and there's a slight noticable difference in street ride - so if you don't mind sacrificing a little street comfort for more performance, 12/10 is for you. i know a guy here running 14k/12k selects on the street - daily!

pics
tein basics
tanabe street
omni power adj.

any of the PIC setups will destroy the tein basics!

never tried tanabe street but i'll put money against it vs. PIC.

omni power adj. SHOULD be able to compete with PIC but once again, will still lose.

example: NASA series H1 class, Hartanto took 1st place and Slagg took 2nd. Hartanto was running Koni/Eibach combo and Slagg was running PIC (shelf units - nothing custom or wild). track PROVEN.

I'll be going with PIC the next time that I redo my suspension. Probably sometime next year but I will get intouch with you guys at Suja when I am ready to order :TU:

S1M
12-26-2006, 05:34 PM
tulsa,

i see. the softest offerings from PIC is the 8/6 setup... that would probably be closest to your current ride stiffness.

Mr.MAN
12-26-2006, 05:42 PM

01-04-2007, 07:15 PM
HAHA! Tell me you bought a set of these back from someone. Give me their address and ill drive over there and smack them in the face. But for real though this is an awesome product, with and awesome price, awesomely fast shipping, and awesome people selling these on here. And if your thinking about these tulsa... well im sure u can figure the rest.

S1M
01-04-2007, 08:21 PM
nope. can't say i've ever bought a set back. i did however have a customer complain about a corner - claiming it was clicking or binding, just making a weird noise. i replaced it with a brand new one just because i knew it wasn't the damper's problem to prove it to him and as expected, it was his bushings.

Offer still good? Interested in the cheaper coilovers. How much is 8/6 converted to lbs?

S1M

offer's still good. lbs. would be around 450/350.

Are custom spring rates available in the Apex kit? If not are the springs interchangeable? eg: swapping fronts/rears so the rears have higher rate

S1M
02-19-2007, 10:23 AM
yes. custom rates are available... and are matched with the shock so they're somewhat interchangeable with limitations. what do you have in mind?

angrychicken
02-19-2007, 12:19 PM
I working with a 96 hatch, and I'm trying to figure out what mods to run. It would be a street car/weekend warrior.
I'm thinking spring rates around 300F/350R.

S1M
02-19-2007, 12:53 PM
weekend warrior as in autox?

S1M
02-19-2007, 12:53 PM
but to answer the stiffer rear question, yes we can set you up with something softer in the front.

angrychicken
02-19-2007, 01:43 PM
Thanks for answering my questions.

02-24-2007, 03:26 PM
Prices still the same? Ordering suspension soon, just need to decide on what i want.

S1M
02-24-2007, 05:34 PM
yep. special for jdmcc members only.

Partizan
02-24-2007, 06:09 PM
The only difference between the two coilovers you sell is that one has dampener adjustments and the other doesnt..right?

Im also not sure what spring rates to go with...this is a daily driver only.

S1M
02-24-2007, 07:18 PM
yup. one is damper adjustable and other isn't.

DD, most people go with 10/8 or for the faint-hearted 8/6

Partizan
02-24-2007, 07:55 PM
Hmm, i never had a lowered car so i dont know how the spring rates are. What are those converted to lvs/inch?

S1M
02-24-2007, 08:36 PM
not sure on lbs/in. if i were to guess, probably somewhere near 475/425 (10k/8k).

Dina
02-24-2007, 08:47 PM
Jason is it 10 Kilos or 10,000 Kilos? 10 Kilos is equivalent to 22.1 LBS

S1M
02-24-2007, 08:57 PM
found it.

10k = 559
8k = 448

so i'm bad at guessing...

Dina
02-24-2007, 09:20 PM
Ha I am so slow at things like this that I still dont under stand it LOL

Volume 8
02-24-2007, 09:41 PM
Apparently if you multiply kg/cm by 56 you end up with lbs/in. I don't know how or why this works but it's a quick way to convert spring rates.

Partizan
02-25-2007, 03:33 AM
Damn, those spring rates are high, haha. I will look into it more, and get back to ya. Probably ordering suspension in the next month or earlier.

if my money hits the bank today, i am gunna order the Pic apex in 12/10setup with the regular LCA's. car is getting a motorswap, so i want that extra springrate in the front. how much would that cost for us? dont think i need the dampning adjustability on my DD. i like a nice stiff ride though.
