Bellco Liquid Structural Polyurethane Foam

"The newest thing to hit the high-end Japanese tuning houses is polyurethane foam to strengthen Skylines, WRXs, Type-Rs, MR2s, Roadsters, etc.

This made the most dramatic increase in chassis rigidity"

I've heard of a lot of EF guys using it. It's strengthens the chassis and reduces flex noise from age. I'd go for it if you have nothing else to spend the money on.

If this is what I'm thinking it is, than yes it works.
I've been around this stuff when I managed an assemble line for rec. vehicles. It's super light, rigid, and easy to use. A lot of road racers, autocrossers, and drifters inject it into there cars to help eliminate flex.

Can you post a link so I can verify that we are talking about the same stuff?

If I recall correctly, I think the stuff I used before was more foam based, it came pre-mixed, and I don't think we were worried about flammabilty.

Do you plan on using this stuff?

That sounds pretty similar to the stuff I used, but I remember it being pre-mixed. One of the guys that I sometimes run with has this in his FD, I'll hit him up when I see him.

You can also read through ziptied.com, you won't be able to post there and you probably wouldn't want to, but you can find some really good info there regarding injectable foams.

i saw a show called "Street Tuner Challenge" on SPEED channel that had this, XS engineering used it on their skyline project car, they mixed it and put it in the lower door frame, etc. ... apparently it really strengthens the chassis, you might give them a call and ask about it
