Jdm Power Folding Mirrors...

OK I want to hook up my jdm power folding mirrors to my alarm. I want them to fold when I arm it and unfold when I disarm it. But I want to be able to still use the switch inside to fold them when I need to. Can anyone help out with this?

hmm, that's a tough one, if i come up with anything i'll let you know. good idea though, that'll look hot if you can get it to work.

i know it can be done because i know someone that did it.. it has to be ran with a relay.. i believe you have to wire up the relay that will tap to the signal that heads to the wires to the mirrors... so that way the stock switch will still work... you might want to ask logikfurry.. (i think thats right) since he does installs he should have some better knowledge...

=) i see this thread now... revalations is somewhat right, u can set it on a relay. you could do this, and its perfectly feasable, but off the top of my head, i wouldnt know how to do it unless it was in front of me, im more of a visual person. But, what i can do is draw out a diagram on how to do this. it will have to be tied in with the door triggers. ill get back to ya on how to wire this up.

here's a way to do it with the locks.. i'm assuming your doors lock when you arm. ;-)

Yeah I was on the12volt askin about this too but did not get a real clear answer I am still waiting on them to get here I think I am gonna call password today and find out what is up.

One question number 87 on the relays go to the mirrors? and if so what wires do I connect to the 87'S there are 2 wires from each mirror that make them fold.

87 and 30 go to the switch to fold the power mirrors, or the wires coming right off of it.. not quite sure which needs to be which, though

hey i gotta ? about these mirrors.........well iv had them since my car was painted silver, im going to say over a yr now, they worked for about a week and the way i had it set up , it somehow kept blowing a fuse..so me and a few friends, yes a few, tried to rewire it numerous times, no luck at all, then i thought....i sent them back to autosonic out in cali (dont know what happened to there site...dissapeared, still can call by phone) ne ways ya they tested it out and they worked, so ok i had a problem in my wiring, then finally over a yr later............this kid tells me that i need to wire it up to a differ power source?????

and trust me, 2 different instructions on how to wire it, and no luck

Billy I did hook them up to there owe power source i did not hook them up to the power source from the switch. when I get the white coupe and I put them on it I am going to have them on there owe power souce in the fuse box so until then I can not tell ya how to do it but I am sure you can figure that out.



Also can anyone tell me how to hook them up so they fold with the alarm let me know what I need to provide to make some one be able to help me with this
