what's your definition of cheap? you gotta pay to play. lol

cheap upgrades would be a K&N drop-in air filter, oil change, new plugs, new wires, seafoam.

in most cases, cheap and power don't belong in the same sentence. ;)

u must define your definition of cheep? basice bolt ons would be a good start like i/h/e...those usually dont run cheep...well unless u get no name brands off of ebay or something....but would not do that at all

right on. :TU:

most people start with I/H/E as their first mods. though like G-Rat said, it really depends on what brands you buy. intake could be a simple $35 K&N filter upgrade, or up to $150ish for an AEM unit. header can run from $150-300. exhaust is usually between $400-600. depending on how you budget it couuld be as high as $1000 for those three mods.

cheap? what resources do you have. we cant determine cheap for you...who knows maybe you have access to madrel benders a mill machine and stuff we dont..u can farbicate all the stuff while spending minumum money that is "cheap".see as for me i have access to some turbos pipings and other misc materials...knowledge is also a factor when it comes to get power out of a sohc.i spent less than 200 bucks to get my turbo system working and its working great.depends on how much u know and are u willing to fabricate things to get it done.other liek red said you pay to play if u dont have the resources

mandrel bend does'nt run for very cheep around here at all....would love to get my whole exaust re done in it but its just to much money......but basice bolt ons will cost u a bit of $......there are a few little things like red said that u can u do that cost hardly anything but they dont really give u that much power at all....u could advance your ignition timeing...sea foam your engine....and depending on where u live, if it does'nt get to cold u could bypass your coolent lines on your tb

IMO, instead of spending up to $1000 on some bolt ons, go to a junkyard and find a ls motor. you can find them cheap and you will get more power and more potential out of the box. just my .02

i dont know what junkyards your going to but over here in San Diego County the junkyards have pleanty of LS swaps... and because of the infamous K series being so popular the prices on B series setups have droped... i got my old 00 LS 2 yrs ago for like 1500 full swap.. so it might be around 1250 now i havent priced them out in a while so its just a guess

ok..first whats your budget?... second like it was stated before... YOU GOTTA PAY TO PLAY... and third.... dont cut yourself short and waste whatever money you have for cheap stuff... its always best to save up a lil more and get good quality items...If you dont have the time and money to do things right the first time, are you going to have the time and money to fix it the second time?...

pick up the akmee valve train kit and type r cam. b series throttle body, port match your intake manifold and get it tuned. that will make respectable n/a power from the sohc. then throw a nitrous kit ontop of that and go make fun of swapped hondas.

funny thing over here is that the b series are goin up since its not a high production motor n e more...but true ls motors have shown a decrease in price but the dohc vtec motors have shown a lil increase of price down here and are being less complete than normal. you can always resurface the head to ^ compression a lil and retune your ecu
