no A/C for the shogun. never worked when i bought the car, so i ripped it out. that $600 repair could go towards something more useful.

A/C here, it's the first car I've had where the A/C actually works. I hardly use it though, only when it's raining or it's extremely hot and I'm sitting in traffic.

lol....i have the stuff from my coupe. compressor is bad i believe though, plus the wire coming out of it is cut.

had it.. but took it out with a quickness.......i used it a couple of times and my car was hella hard to drive...even stalled it a few times...the clutch would act really funny when it was on

yup, i'm still rockin it. i drive way too much to not have it. i need the defrost and it's nice on long trips in the summer. plus, it keeps my fiance from finding another thing to complain about when she's in the car. :TU:

my car is a drop down, bottom of the line, base model DX 5 speed.. it didn't come with a/c or powersteering. came with a radio(just radio no tape deck), & only a side mirror for the driver(block off plate on the pass side).. thats the extent of my luxeries. i bought it from the original owner & she still had the Dealers window sticker in the glovebox(i kept it). & i only gave her 500 bucks for the whole car! i couldnt pass up the perfect weightless coupe to build into the perfect race car! i mean come on?? 500 bucks for a 93 coupe in awesome shape?!??! even if you didn't need a car, you'd still buy it!

i rock the A/C, last summer it was godly, it would blow so cold that it would actually frost/fog as it came out of the vents....fealt soooo nice.... but i only use it when its too hot for comfort, when its raining, or when its just flat out humid. otherwise u better belive i rock it with the windows down

a/c is gonzoo. previous owner ripped it out, and i've got no problems with that. im just fine ridding with the windows down and if a passenger has a problem with it, i tell them if they put up the $600+, i'll gladly get it chillin..or pull over at the next bus stop cuz the public transportation system loves to keep them cool :wink:

I had a/c, but like a dumbass I took it out. My friend told me when I did my swap that if I was going turbo that it would not fit...now I know they Manis that will clear it! I was in the Navy and lived on the boat so I had no place to store it...he took the whole entire thing out except the unit itself! We trashed a perfectly good a/c system. I did not want to cruise with it in my trunk for 3 years. I was in socal so it was fine...the santa ana breezes kept me cool unless in traffic.
Then I moved to Orlando, FL. and the hell began...when it rains you cannot see shit with a/c...let alone with your windows fogged up...usually had to pull over and wait or die! I found one finally and got the whole thing for 50 bucks - the compressor, but just bought one for 20 buck...hope it works. Now I just need a Del Sol Si a/c bracket to install it and get it charged. Need it before summer, 3 summers without it is too much!

I used to have it and use it allot too, but since i swapped the motor, it would only hamper the swapping process, so i removed the entire assembly just before the swap, to make things easier, as well as possibly re-install it if i felt the need to do so.

Come to think of it, i was pretty shocked at the time when i felt how much of a weightloss it really was when i took acount of everything. Id say a good 20-30 lbs, between the compressor, radiator, lines and resivour.

I Had A/c it worked and everything. I removed it when i replaced the front radiator support/did the motor swap/ added suspension...well everything. Always have the top off and all 3 windows down in the del sol, never used it anyway. All that empty space in the engine bay makes the car look hardcore.
