rented this last night and I must say I was thoroughly impressed. i love watching war movies and films about historical battles. even though they may not always be completely true on the big screen, it still gives us all an insight as to what happened and makes us appreciate all of the men and women that serve our country.
this movie takes place during WWII and is about a large Japanese-controlled POW camp in the Phillipines that has been holding roughly 500 American/Phillipino soldiers for about 3 years. the objective of the rangers is to sneak 120 men into the camp and liberate the soldiers.
right from the start this movie explodes into action. it also features a montage of actual footage at the beginning of the story.
if you like war movies, this is one you can't miss. this movie gets a big thumbs up from the shogun.
