I'm divorced, have 2 sons that live with me.
I can't afford a sports cars, tuning, or "racing". That's why I have a civic and autocross. If I had the bank, I'd have a dedicated RWD, trailered car that would be laying it down, wheel to wheel, on road courses. I also have at least 3yrs of school ahead, maybe after thats done, my kids are raised, student loans paid off, I can get involved with a actuall race car. :frown:

I got married when I was 18... had a baby and it was the worst thing I ever did ( the maariage not the baby) it was over within a few months and I found someone better. 8 years later have a second baby and not getting married anytime soon because imo it doesn't define the relationship to have a piece of paper... because I've seen first hand that piece of paper doesn't gurantee anything.
1 girl age 8
1 boy 8 weeks old
Well I have 4 kids 3 girls and my son who is the youngest I am in the middle of a bad bad divorce and I live with the love of my life! Chrissy has a daughter and I am still unemployed and have very little time left on my unemployment. Chrissy just started working on Monday.
We also have a puppy, and I have the site and the Coupe Council. So yea funds are low but we pay our bills and save as much as we can so with the left over 30 cents a week we put that toward our cars.
One day in very near future (read 2 weeks or less) I will find a job and we will have more money to invest in our cars...Oh wait I have child support and a divorce to pay for...Damn there goes that plan! :frown:

Edwin, hang it there it will get better, nasty divorces suck.
Prior to my divorce, I made around 45k a year, owned 4homes, 4 cars, 2 motorcyles, a 1600sqf shop full of tools, and a boxer named Jake (dog). I gave it all up, took my clothes and personal belongings, stayed in a small apt, went back to school, and payed out tons of money in attorney/court fees. I now have my kids and live in a modest home. I make nearly nothing, but I'm waaaay happier now. I've made enourmous sacrifices and would do it all again in heartbeat.
Although both my children are aspiring scientist, they share my interest in autosports, help out with the car, and have attended races.
THANKS Mani! That means alot to me I am happy to hear that you made it and are happy now! I hope I will be ok once it is over, I have a good support system and they wont let me fail!

married nearly 10 years (this oct 10 years renuing vows at wdisny world)
3 girls . 7 mnths, 5years and 9years-- all 4 years apart and a son from a previous 13years old still 4 years apart so 4 kids all 4years apart
2 dogs big labs eat much food... expell much waste... so besides all the expensive-excesive gymboree clothing, child support, food and dog food vet bills, 4 cars. no car payments(whoo hoo) 1200 mortage a month
it leaves a whole heap left for the coupe.. actually im impressed i did as much as i did the suspension was 2,500 alone  if she only knew{{i would be strung up by the man parts}};)

wow
i don't know if i ever want to be in the married with kids category.
i had a live in relationship and consider it he worste thing i ever did, but the best lesson i ever learned.
i was raised an only child and we were pretty poor too. i'm finaly at a point in my life where i make a decent living for myself and, call me greedy, but i don't want to share it with anyone.
i have fun and i have alot of friends. when the woman lived with me everything was always together. relationships are just to much maintenence for me. there are so many things i want to do in life and i see a wife and kids holding me back from that. i'm 32 now, maybe when i'm 45 or 50 i'll change.

i am happily married for about 3 and 1/2 years..:TU:
i have 1 daughter that is 18 months old and my wife and i just found out last week she is 5 weeks along.... yep one in the oven.. :TU:
my wife had some problems so finally it happened 13 months after we started trying....
i have been with her for a total of 8 years on june 29 of this year.... .she is the best thing that happened to me....:TU:
oh yea and she is the one that gave me my civic... she had it paid off and i got her a new car (needed something bigger for work) a 2003 (new) honda accord and then 1 year later traded up for a 2004 honda pilot.
ok now for the :TD: i don't know exactly what is wrong with my civic trans and i told my wife once she got pregnant again that she could quit work and stay home with our children..... so car funds and going to drop wayyyyyyyyyyyy down....
but i would rather have her at home raising our beautiful little girl and the bun in the oven (maybe a little guy?)

dont get into such a rush to find someone... thats how a lot of married couples get into divorce... just do the dating thing and someone will come along

I've been with my girl now for over 6 years. Not married. We were engaged once but we decided to wait until we were both out of college and could commit fully. Fast forward.....I'm out. Been working as a paramedic for about 1 year and she just graduated nursing school as an RN 2 days ago so I'm thinking a special suprise for christmas or maybe new years. We set a date last time to get married on 7/7/07. Well see if that comes true

I'm living together with my girl. We've been together for about 2,5 years.
About a month ago we found out she is pregnant. So I'm going to be a father in a little over 7 months (ETA 31st of July).
We didn't try for this to happen, but after getting "used to" the idea, I'm pretty excited about it.
Our lives will change forever, but for the better I'm sure. So that's my story.
Now you here know something most people don't. We've only told our parents and a few chosen friends.
No need to disclose it to the entire planet until we know it's healthy.
We have a doctors appointment on Thursday (day after tomorrow), so there you have it.

almost made a big mistake in marriyin a girl I had been with for 4 years...that all went down hill as some of my closer peeps on here would know. Did the single thing for a lil while...then I found the perfect girl for me. I know our relationship has only been goin for 4 months...but damn...this girl and I just click...its one of those things where you just know...it just hits you...that you need this person in your life. I can honestly say that my feelings and other things about this girl outmatch the 4 yr relationship...haha, and I feel bad for Mel and Luis cause they caught that small portion of my life where there is an ongoin conflict with my friends about how Im too young to feel this way, and how I just need to be single...but I am happy where I am at right now. I wish I had a higher payin job cause things are gettin tougher tryin to pay the bills month to month...spendin all the money you make on bills...its tough. Barely got the K swap done...it still needs to be tuned, and I gotta do the brakes...but relationship wise...I feel like I learned a very valuable lesson with the last relationship...and that is that no matter how well you think you know someone close to you...you still should have your eyes open. Can I see myself marriying this girl now? Yes...I can...and man dont it feel great!

I can honestly say that my feelings and other things about this girl outmatch the 4 yr relationship!
Thats word, I was with my ex-wife for just over 10yrs, and that relashonship didn't even come close to how I felt about this girl named Marcilla who moved back to Europe when her student visa expired :frown: ...
