I have a little problem with my suspension. I bought a :honda: 95 ex and was converting my old suspension from my old civic that was totaled… I took the arm and shock and strut of of the passenger side and put it back up… But the driver side Bolt behind the Drum on the are was striped by the owner b4 me:TD: and he also broke the head of the bolt that meets the shock and the control arm… Some please help me… I really don’t have the funds to do a rear disk conversion…
Thanks

Sorry for the spelling mistakes... The bolt on the Rear driver control arm behind the drum was stripped by the owner before me. And I don’t know if I should swap out my old drums conversation from my totaled civic.
The only broken bolt on the arm is in the middle where the shock meets the arm.
ok this is common to the people in the northeast as the snow and salt on the roads makes the bolts rust up on the bushings. If the bolt is just stripped at the head then take a smaller socket to it and try and get it out like that. if its stripped at the end that the nut that is on the shock assembly then just break off the nut off the shock and take out the bolt like that.
If it is just frozen in the bushing take a propane tourch to it and heat up the head of the bolt and then try and take it out.
If all this fails then just take out the whole lower control arm and cut off the bolt from the bushing and then get the bushing replaced and use a new bolt with a nut for it.
you should not have to replace the whole trailing arm to do this just let me know if you need more help.
Hell I am only about 30 min from Hartford if anything I could shoot down to help you out.

Thanks that helps a lot.. Yeah the bolt is in good condition but just stripped at the head.. So I will try using a smaller socket…
I can get an open end 14 on without it slipping but it will not fit my breaker bar. But when I put the 14in socket on and apply my breaker bar it slips off. I also have another question if I use an impact gun with a 14in socket will it strip more or will it pull. If I do get into any troubles the help would be very helpful.. I live a little closer to you because I just moved to Bloomfield…
