Since owning my Rotas, I've had to replace one because the lip dented, and now I've just noticed that another one has a dented lip. I'm thinking of going to OEM wheels, since having to replace this many wheels is just annoying, and OEM wheels are really strong :TU: . Do you have any other suggestions other than OEM wheels for wheels that won't dent on potholes? I'm trying to keep the price around $500-$700.

I believe anywheel is prone to getting a dent if you hit a bump/pot hole ect. just right. So no matter what you get just gotta be a tad more aware of whats on the road.

I definitely try, but where I drive it's totally unavoidable. I have to drive to Newark everyday for work (read, inner city = rough roads with ridiculous potholes and bumps). I just need a really sturdy (but good-looking) wheel to withstand these conditions.

you looking for $500-700 for all four wheels? I'm not even sure you can get OEM wheels for that unless they're used. If you feel OEM will suit you better, go with them. Otherwise shell out the dough and pick up some forged wheels that'll be a little stronger and lighter. You get what you pay for.

http://www.handa-accessories.com and other honda accessory sites sell OEM wheels for $136 to $160 a wheel, so that's within my price range. I'll also try those websites you've mentioned.

Keep an eye out on various forums, you can buy real deals (what rota mimics) in your price range.
I think your best bet would be racer forums, just keep waiting until a good deal pops up.
I've bought a few sets for cheap, Advans: $220 set, Volks: $500 set, SSRs: $850 with tires.
Good luck!

They look hot, and 13" tires would be cheap.

13" wheels are itty bitty! I mean if the lug pattern and everything is the same if should be ok.. but what I would be worried about is maybe the size of the brakes. if I remeber right the rotors are about 12"? and the caliper would add some more to that?
If anything I'd look at least 14" wheels

13"s won't fit on your car, it won't clear the brakes..

All right, so 13's are out of the question.

I'm actually in negotiations with someone on www.bimmerforums.com to get a set of 14" bottlecaps with 195/60-14 tires for cheap. That'll look sweet, and they'd be tough too :TU:

Those would make great auto-x wheels. They would bolt up to the hubs but as far as fitment I don't know.

EDIT:

13"s won't fit on your car, it won't clear the brakes..

Didn't even think of that until now, haha.

Looks like the bottlecaps fell through. You guys know if these will clear my front brakes? I'm bidding on them now.

I'm sure they will. I have 14" del Sol wheels for my car during the winter and they fit, just that the ones I have are the skinnier 5-spoke wheels.
