I went to an 1/8th track this past week and was disappointed to say the least. I know the car has more in it.
My best was a 9.938 with a 2.3 60'. I think it may have something to do with my wheel hop/lack of traction.
I'll be putting motor mount inserts in soon, and maybe traction bars. What else can I do to cut my 60' down?

At CMI my best 60ft was 2.5 Not sure what the hell is going on.
I blame track prep too as it being my first time as the track. I gotta get more seat time and work on it. :)
Ways of making your 60ft better:
-better tires (with low psi)
-better motor mounts
-traction bar
-better clutch (i know this is my problem)
and try different launch settings? I tried 4000, 4500, 5000 and it seems the best for me is the 4700 area but I havent tried it yet.

I got a set of tokico (some thing like that) 5 way adjustable. shocks. I can make them stiff or soft. When I have them set to soft I have more traction

Well I've already got suspension and tires taken care of. I think my weak point is wheel hop....I need traction bars and mounts/inserts, but I can't afford shit right now lol.

... inserts only run like.. 40-50 bucks.. if im not mistaken... or you can "fill" yours in with like window calk... the black stuff they use for winshields.. i used Silicone to fill in m drivers side.. cause those are prone to break... so far its worked good... in my old car i use to have wheel hop until i got my suspension...so i dunno how yours would have that much hop...

Probably because of shitty track prep.
And yeah, mount inserts are actually like $25 from ES. I think those will be my next investment after an intake manifold.
