Project Niko Niko on a budget

Hello all, this car used to be clean and the stock dark green color. Traded it to a buddy for a 4dr due to us having a baby. Since then my friend decided to buy a jeep, I picked it up from him. Three days after picking it up from us he had it stolen with no insurance, and it was stripped. Keep in mind this thing is going to get a complete over haul. Not feeling the color or the gay transformer logo. Sadly exterior is most likely going to be the last thing done.

Heres whats done to it as of today, keep in mind pretty much everything will be changed.

Exterior:
Mugen style front lip (had it laying around for months)
Crappy 50's chevy blue paint color with ugly transformer logo.
Aftermarket red/clear tails

Interior:
GSR cloth front seats
EX cluster $40

Motor:
Ebay intake (had it laying around and hey its better than having the filter on the throttlebody like the previous owner)
Ebay short shifter
Tanabe racing medallion (sitting in garage waiting for the omni test pipe for the ex exhaust to fit)

Suspension:
Arospeed coilovers (got to love $100 cheap pieces of crap)
Ebay front upper strut bar (another thing laying around)
Cusco front lower tiebar (Woot one thing the thieves didnt take to bad I new one due to it getting tore up from my buddy)
Cusco rear upper strut bar (thank god I hanged on to it, needs to be installed still)

Wheels:
DA GSR's currently (but I have some webs on my teg I'm going to throw onto her soon.)

Your telling me the damn thing is ugly. Looking for a stock hood to replace it currently. The thing draws way to much attention, keeping an open mind on what color Im going to repaint it. So far looking at 350Z blue, Rootbeer brown or the silverish color of the last Type R.

hey, it's something to work with. i think the rootbeer brown would look good. it'd be something different. i like the ol' skool rims though. i think they compliment the car well.

Ya trying to get the older to respray the hood but he loves the damn logo. As for the boxer hes a good dog we got him over a year ago as a rescue. He was 20lbs underweight and hes been beaten. Lol now he's the biggest sloth living on easy street.

Swapped out wheels and had the exhaust and testpipe put on. Also had belts, water pump and all that stuff replaced.

Planning for a wedding atm so money is a lil tight but going to try and sell some random stuff around the house to get a CF hood. Also once I pick up a new front bumper and bumper support along with a rear lip I am going to get those sprayed with the front lip to make it a lil bit better.

Once it gets warmer going to have a friend cut and buff it for me.

Well had a buddy over and we, ie him lol, completed a lil project I've been putting off for a couple of weeks.

We scuffed it with 2000 grit I believe, then after the first scuff we used scotch brite and scrubbed like a mother. After that since I'm a simple green fiend we went buck with that let it set for a few secs then sprayed them off with the hose. Took a towel and dried them off. Then he masked them off with electrical tape and paper. My lil bro was supposed to get us some fine line but his ass got the fine line scotch tape crap for painting houses. After that we primed them let it set for a few about 15-20mins then sprayed them with the paint. Let it set in the sun for about 30-40 mins or so then mounted them on the car and letting car sit in the garage to let them dry. All together it took us about 3 hours or so from start to finish. He has a pretty steady hand so it was cake for him to do, I suck at spray painting so made him do it. We are going to do my brothers DA GSR's in the next week or so, will take a lil more detailed pics from start to finish and post them up.

As a side note its not bad for lil over 10 bucks in materials. We only used 1 can of primer and 1 can of paint. Each had a lil bit of paint in them after we were done.

As for the jeep the thing is pretty cool hes been doing alot to it lately. Its funny as hell watching him get into lol, looks like a monkey getting in. In the past hes had a caddy switched up, DA, Eclipse, a lifted Silverado, couple of hatches (EG and EK), my coupe and now the jeep. He usually lasts about 6 months with a car and then get a different one. He's my official wrench monkey and painter/body guy lol.

Its on the list I'm hoping to luck into one for cheap but who knows. Atm trying to get my deposits in order for our wedding next year which is going to cost roughly 18k so bigger things will have to held off till then. Though once we are married then I can start dumping alot of money into her.

Well once I figure out how to install a tach I'm goin to attempt that. Noticed I have an Autometer silver faced tach in the garage along with an A/F gauge and a SAFC. I suck at wiring so who knows when I will install them, lol. Trying to sell me DA atm once thats sold going to pick up a detachable steering wheel set-up.

Trying to talk my buddy into doing it for me but hes the one being gay over hood. The wheels turned out better than I expected so far no probs with getting dirty or with brake dusk.

Woot talked to an old friend and he said he would spray my car for me hopefully we can get the ball rolling soon. Rootbeer brown with a gold pearl is the color I'm goin to go with to be different. Hopefully I can find a good Brown.
