So i have up on trying to hook up the JVC deck i have. Couldnt find the right harness. So now i'm shopping for a honda oem deck from other cars.

I found a few i like and i want to know which of these decks will plug up to an ej1.

The decks are from: EK SIR, 97-01 Prelude, ITR. Just want to know if any of these will just plug into my ej1. The reason i want these decks are because they all come with a double din pocket, as my jdm audio console didn't have one. Might get a cd changer later on though, not sure if i will need it. They all come included with codes btw.

Please excuse my ignorance.

Thanks guys.

honda only used 2 different harnesses in their late model vehicles. you can tell them apart by the color, one is white and one is blue. obviously your best bet would be to find a radio from the same MY car, but if that isn't possible just look at the plug on the back of the radio and you can easily tell them apart. or if you find an oem radio at a good price and the harness is different, go to your local stereo shop and get the matching reverse harness and wire it up.

can you get the harness to plug in to the back of the deck? Ive been sitting on an EM1 deck for years that I want to put in my EJ1 but Ive been slacking on getting to the junkyard to find a 99-00 to clip the harnessfrom. I was gonna wire that one to a regular aftermarket adapter to use it, and i need the slack anyways since my deck is in my audio console. but if a trip to the stereo shop saves me the trouble of hunting down a harness, that would be sweet!

Check ebay. I bought my female factory harness that plugs into the oem harness. I'm sure you can find a male one that plugs into the back of the radio.
