from the looks of it they might be a good tire. I'll let you know soon. I just got my set of 195/50/15. They are sitting at home :) Cost was $159shipped dued to that discounttiredirect killer internet deal. I couldn't resist buying it since it was so cheap. Discount tire direct usually sells 195/50/15 for 56-60bucks which is pretty cheap compared to Yokohama ES100 or the new S. Drive.


From what I hear from my friend, they are much improved over the 512s, I disliked the 512s mainly due to loud road noise and the treadwear was not exactly what I would expect from 340 rating. From what I hear, it is quieter and a little harder rubber to last longer. A big plus is it is no longer directional! you can X-rotate your tires :)

Dina, were you shopping for a set of wheels as well?
I thought I saw a thread somewhere, but couldn't find it.

i just tested the 912s the other day on a local mountain run.. they suprisingly hold much better than the 512s and don't scream as much. The roadnoise is much quieter..and it feels more comfortable as if it is softer.. Good tire and glad I made the choice to buy these tires. I'll keep you guys updated on the miles i get out of these tires :]

I might buy 2 when i get the chance. Camber wear has raped my (now rotated) 2 tires (ZE 512s) in front from doing around 9 autocross's this past summer and spring.

I have the 912's and I think they are pretty good tires. I don't have much to compare them to tho, but they dont scream..or maybe im not pushing them enough
