so i havent really been driving my car lately since i havent had a job for a month now haha but anyways i was driving to my gfs house and on the way back my tranny started acting up like i couldnt get it in first gear second gear or third gear i cld only get it in fourth and now when i push in the clutch in netraul it sounds smooth but when i let off clutch and its in netraul and I hear like a grinding noise its been doing it for like 2 days now checked the fluid looks cool anybody got any ideas to what it cld be? btw its a D16 tranny
any help wld be great cause im at a lose my guess is the synchros or something...

NOOOO... dont move it... your going to pull it out... and check your clutch... my friends does that and he said that the flywheel bolts somehow got like chewed off or like if they were grinded down...

im gonna have to check that it just feels really hard to put it in to gear but only sometimes so i wouldnt have guessed the clutch but i ll prolly pull it out this weekend and see what i can find thx

that happend to me and it turned out to be the clutch disc springs popped out of the disc and were hitting the pressure plate and making it hard to get into gears. I did a how to and it shows the damage. check it out here (http://www.jdmcoupecouncil.com/forum/showthread.php?t=235)

yeah, same shit here. the flanges that suround the springs start to rip away and the spring pops out. i had huge peices of metal and a half destroyed spring floating around inside the bell housing when i took it apart.

well pulled out the tranny today since it officially took a shit last night well my gfs dad was taking a look at it lol it was the throwoutbearing getting eaten up by the pressure plate all the teeth on the pressure plate were eaten up i will have to take pics tmw its bad so now just gotta wait for the clutch to come in!
