View Full Version : stupid question about jacking the coupe up LOL

ok so im really new to the whole coupe scene and i have always been wondering WHERE DO I JACK THE FRONT OF THE COUPEUP AT?? the subframe is waaaaay to far to get the jack under and my car is wayy to low so does any one got any way to jack up the front to get jackstands on it without damaging anything not the radiator support because it is way to weak so im at a loss here or shd i just jack it up one side at a time which is hard... thx any help works here cause im confused lol

did that it bent my radiator support now my front end is all out of wack and dosent line up any more :neutral:

Right behind your front fender wheels is the place you should jack it up from...if you look under there you'll see an arrow pointing to a piece of your frame, this is where you jack it up.

there also should be a reinforced point on the radiator support toward the engine side of the car.

i know about the ones on the side but its kinda hard to jack it up from the sides and then put jackstands there lol but its ok i got it up now

dunno didnt see any im used to my Prelude with the subframe right up front to jack it on lol

there's 2 tow hooks in the front on either side, but there should be a raised hump underneath, on the engine side. there's jacking point diagrams in the helms and owner's manual that show where it is.

oh whoops, didn't realize my girl was still signed on, just pretend it says HonDA9racer.

dont ever jack your car from the two from two hooks.. i've seen them bend.. and is risky cause it can fall on you... like everyone has said... there is a hump on the front support... if your radiator support bent.. then you might have bigger issues..

for those jacking on the rad support...

from experiences.. only honda OEM supports handle jacking from that spot


if the car was in an accident ever and the rad support was replaced with a non oem unit id think twice about jacking from there...
