:hoppingmad:The car wont stay running when I un hook the batt, and the alt wont charge the batt. I took the alt to auto zone they tested it and said it was good. so I thought it might not be getting grounded. so I sliced into to the black wire in the plug grounded to the car with another wire and tried to start it. it wouldn't start. my vtec controller wont even come on now. I un did the wire I used and still wont start and the vtec still wont come on. does anyone know whats going on? :hoppingmad:

have you checked the Fuses... cause when i bought my car... my friend sold it to me because he couldnt get it to stay on... all it was, was a fuse that powered the alternator...
ok first since your car is computer controlled NEVER EVER undo your battery and let it run off the alternator! That WILL fry your ECU!

I got the car running the AGU fuse pop. replaced it and started right up. It's a 93 dx with a 97 ex engine d16y8, and a 94 si ecu. I thought my alt went bad. I went to advance auto parts and the only alt that they and I found that would fit the plug was a 94 lx. They tested my alt and they said it was good. But the car is running off the batt! I can not figure it out why.
