I know the really small ones with the black sockets are #74, but what # is the slightly larger ones in the grey sockets?

They list 194 as the bulb which is wrong. 194 is like a side marker or city light bulb.

i've been wanting to do mine amber, but there is a lot of different opinions on the color from the ones you can buy "amber" and the ones you buy clear and paint, or buying the amber and sharpie'ng them as well.

Well Im amber already, but Im gonna get amber leds to hopefully intensify it. From what I read, the CTR cluster is kinda dim.

The larger bulbs are 194NA. I swapped my cluster and climate control to amber. I used sylvania amber bulbs from a parts store and I'm very pleased with the color and light output.

I dont think these are 194 unless the na means something to the size of the bulb. Ill take some pics so you can see what I mean.

I wasn't sure but I looked back through my thread before I made that other post. I'm 100% sure they are 194NA bulbs.

In this pic you can see the package in the background, it's blurry but it says 194NA,

And that was in the grey socket?

I must have giant hands then. Going by your photo with the bulb and socket in your hand its the size of your thumb. When I hold mine that way, its like half the size of my thumb. The 194 socket is the same size as my thumb though. But the 2 bubs arent interchangeable. You think they may be different because of the years of our cars?

It's possible. I also forgot I have an Integra cluster so maybe it uses different bulbs.

Can you do that with a honda cluster mike?

I'm gonna roll by my father's house and check out the civic clusters I have there so we can nail this down. Hopefully I should have some info in a few hours.

If you want brighter light output then just convert everything into 194 bulbs. Your going to either have to crimp or solder onto the 194 bulb leads but its all worth it in the end and 194 bulbs don't blow that often (over 2 years in my old car). Just drill out the smaller socket just enough so a 194 bulb can rest in there snug and wont fall out do this to all of the bulbs. To do the clock just take it apart and put 2 to 3 layers of orange plastic tabs on it (found on the edge of binder dividers). Cut the dimmer wire on the clock so it doesn't dim when the headlights go on and its gonna match the rest of the interior.
