Fav photo - photos after are in order or progression
Hey guys just was going through some photos today and decided to post some progression picx of where my car was and where its now and what i plan on doing next, hope you enjoy pictures as much as i do because there are alot!
First Car bought in January, heres my 3 months of hard work.
Future work or aspirations
1 spoiler, adding next week, paint and install
2 seat covers, just for cosmetic, low budget style
3 Re, Repaint wheels, different color, kind of want to do gunmetal or white.
4 lower - MAYBE
5 Learn more about engine stuff, not necessarily for racing or speed just for knowedge
stock, changed nothing but back badge to Vtec tuning cuz i hated the stock civic si
painted and changed emblem, decided to go with blue which is my fav color, i know it can look kind of cheesy but i can always repaint the wipers, but for now ill leave em.
1)painted wheels chrome, becuase of the destroyed finish from the previous owner, didnt do a clear coat and it got messed by road grime and chemicals, but i redid it aluminum after and did a clear coat 2)did side trim red, with 2 tries first time was wrong color and 2nd time came out great from the help of Joseph, thanks.
Some diff pix, just when i preinstalled the rear, my son helping me out with wheels and rear install, and some photo shoot shots after a wash
my first engine clean job from the help of the fellow who did the DIY, thanks goes out to you whoever you are!
heres some photo shoot shots.
some pix of differnt changes and things i worked on.
Here are some updated pics of the spoiler i added.
I started on monday, at 12,
- picked up spoiler 20 min
- preinstalled 30 min
- painted primer 18 min
- painted milano red 30 min
- painted clear top coat 20 min
- mount led brake light to spoiler 10 min
- install on car 15 min
- led hookup to brake (next day on tues) 20 min instructions sucked (actual hookup of wiring, 8 min)
Money spend on car
front lip $70
side skirts $200
rear $120
spoiler $230

Very nice beginnings. First time I tried to clean my bay I fragged my ignition module in my dizzy. Man i felt like an ass but I wrapped it up in plastic, maybe I will use a condom next time...anyways is that a ninja in the driver's seat. He looks vicious

looks good so far minus the blue..
My favorite color is blue but I can't seem to like it on your car with the red.. it really doesnt match for me.
What are your next places? Some rims and drop would be a plus for this car.

those blue lights are kinda hot
they easy on the eyes?
yah they arent blinding or nothing because the gauge actuall takes all the real brightness away

ive been getting my rust spots rear well redone, i had it rewelded and im almost done the body work and all, too bad after buffing and polishing the paint theres still a lil but o overspray look in differnt lighting or angles
I have since completed the quarters, had the rims repainted to a light aluminum color with a blue haze when they are nice and clean, a new exhaust tip that fits nicely.

The Center caps are on now as I dont like the hub look, I had to get some crazy adhesive before I put them on as they were not secured to my preference.

Car looks so good. What did you do with your spoiler? Did you sell it?
crazydragonclk
05-14-2007, 11:53 AM
i took it off temporarily to fix some rust around the spoiler holes and decided to fill it in for now, waiting for either a more aggressive stock spoiler, or plan on eventualy putting it back on

see i was wanting to go mad clean and everything with certain accents jus like the license plate and the emblem but now without the spoiler it feels to clean and to empty.
I like it better with the spoiler but not my one, id like a more aggressive one that has more straight edged curves vs the one i have is a aftermarket one that is very roundish and i dont think it complements the car as id like it too.

Damn man nice photos. You got your tint from Audio Heaven right? did you go 20% all around or what? I'll probably go get my tint next week.
Yeah i prefer the spoiler look more. Have you considered the Mugen spoiler that optionjdm offers? The pics of the spoiler on the site look like crap, but i think it looks better in real life.
crazydragonclk
05-20-2007, 09:27 PM
ya audio heaven, 35% on front n back and rear i think may be 20, cant remember for the back but i believe and would prefer 35% all around as sometimes it can be hard to see in the rear at night especially when im scanning for the police.
the mugen spoiler i had considered it when i was first getting a spoiler but i dont like the way it mounts with the metal mounting brackets exposed i think it looks ghetto and i dont like it enough over the stock spoiler, but i have seen it dont nicely before.

I was deciding to go for 20% all around or 35% front and 20% rear up until what you just said. I drive more at night time than in the day, so I'd rather be able to scan the area. Probably will go all 35% now.
BTW, your Mugen lip is damn perfectly installed. My car doesn't have a lip yet. But I should be getting my lip really soon. Wanna help me install it? =D haha

ya for sure 35% i think is perfect, as well i think too dark looks ghetto unless u have a white car, but in which case the light still looks good on it, as with the haze of the sky and angle of the windows it will have a slight mettalic look to it instead of a blacked out effect.
The mugen lip is real easy to install it takes 2 people to fit it nicely, when i did mine i did it myself but it came out ok, for sure i can help you, im around markham scarborough area., where do u live?

my fav photos of the car, wifey is driving it im shooting from my buddies integra. havent done a proper photoshoot with the cars and tires rolling fast enough with crisp shots.
wifey hit a pothole in the rain, it was a huge puddle she didnt see it. walmarts paving company reimbursed us and i got a some yokohama avid tires on them now, and they are amazing, superior to these falken512s
My new car which is in progress of building as soon as i lower it i will start the rest of the mods. I got it for about 2500, quarters were recently repainted, timing belt water pump recently done, has high mileage about 300 something, but runs fairly good.
here are some other photos from the Canadian aNational Exhibition which is like a carnival up in Toronto Canada
