I am planning on doing my auto to manuel conversion as soon as my income tax check comes in.

So far I know I need these parts; d16y8 hydro tranny, Shift linkage, 5spd d16y8 ecu, left tranny mount, flywheel, clutch kit, pedal assembly, slave cylinder, Clutch master cylinder, shifter, and knob. Is there anything else I need? Also how much does this usually cost?

the easiest/cheapest way to do this conversion is with a donor car. get in touch with dmacedo as he is about half-way through with the conversion.

I've got everything - the trans

I've paid about $500-600 so far minus trans.

I'm not going to be using it if you want to buy it all.

also to save yourself a big hassle I suggest getting the manual dash harness, it will be one less headache and Im not 100% but you might need axles

You intstalling a small spanish fellow to shift gears for you? ;)

You need to fabricate a clutch line. The factory way runs a hard line across the firewall and down the frame rail and then a rubber hose from there to the slave cylinder. A cleaner and easier way to do it is to fab up a braided line that just goes over the transmission and under the intake manifold to the master cylinder. There is an article somewhere on honda-tech, I'll look for it for you when I have a little bit more time.

Edit: As promised: http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1545386

Youre also going to need some way to mount the shifter to the floor board. The way that we used to do it was to find a manual donor car and just cut the section of the tunnel where the shifter comes through and weld it on to the new car. Make sure that you get the little rubber donut that goes around the base of the shifter or you will be majorly hot and stinky from engine heat and fumes coming in through the hole.

Thats about all I can remember right now that hasn't already been covered here, but if you have any specific questions feel free to ask, if I can remember I'll pass on the info!

you have to remove the cat heat shield too, for the linkage to pass through...
it's because the automatic cable is so tiny that it can run above it, the manual linkage cannot.

yeah if you have any random questions PM me.

P.S. : There are 2 patched up holes from the factory that you just drill through enough to get a bolt through from the bottom and use 2 nuts on top. This is to mount the linkage right below where the shifter is... :TU:
