Ok I am looking for some tires for some ls meshies

I want to run 205-50-15 tires for the bigger contact patch and the ability to be more stable

Here are the tires I am looking at, I would like some pro's and con's on them please

Hankook Ventus HRII H405

Falken Ziex ZE-912

Falken Ziex ZE-512

Dunlop Direzza DZ101

Kumho Ecsta ASX

is there a better tire in the 50 to 75 dollar range?

Is it possible to fit 205's on meshies? I thought they were like 6.5" across. My 16X7's are 205. Just curious.

how about coopers zeon zpts? i ran them slammed for 2 1/2 years before they needed to be replaced from camber wear. great traction and awesome in the rain. granted they were 195/50/15 but they looked huge because they had a rim protector. everyone thought i was running 205s

heres how big they were

Im not one of them. I love my 512's, they were very grippy in autocross all last summer.

I can speak about Falken and Kumho in generals.

I had/have a set of Kumho Escta Supra (not the ASX's) and I couldn't get them to wear down, thus is why I still have them.

The Faklen Ziex's didn't last long at all. I was very unhappy with there performance in wet conditions. It was borderline scary driving when it was raining.

I just ordered a set of Kumho ASX's (205 45 r16) for this summer because I was so impressed with Kumho's quality. I only hope that my ASX's don't let me down.

195's are plenty on a 92-95.. thats actually the stock size.. 205s would be slightly larger in diameter over the 195's

the only thing i dont like about my 205s is that depending n the road conditions ur wheel seems to pull in some directions.

I have the Hankooks, 205/50/15 for over a year. still have lots of tread, and have pretty good grip for a daily driver. mounted on my SI's.

Yo Dina, I run Dz101s, and I love them. Not quite as sticky on the limit at Azenis, but they last way longer. Not to bad in the rain either.

update:
my green ej1 killed the front Hankooks with camber.
the a-holes that sold me them tell me Hankooks are no longer sold in this country (wtf?)
the rears are going back on my white ej1 with some Kumho ASTs up front.
then it's downhill time!

Since we're talking progress reports here; My Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1s are holding up great. They have alot of tread left and still grip great dry or wet. It's getting too cold for them though so I may have to throw on some all-seasons even if it's not snowing yet.

Hankook's are still sold here trust me... my s drives are holding up good control and good grip not good enough for the brakes though but I guess that's overkill on my part.

I was running 205/50/15's on my car for about 3 months and they always rubbed. ( 2" drop ) i bought a set of kumho estas 195/50/15 and i have no problem with them rubbing. i constantly do burnouts on them and still havent had any noticable tire wear as of yet and they have awesome handling. i paid 250 for the set with mounting and balancing.
