I just wanna see if anyone on JDMCC plays any instruments. If you do, post it up. I myself started playing piano in first grade and in fifth started playing drums. In december, I auditioned for the state orchestra and placed third in all states for snare drum. Yeah...that's right, I'm a band fag:rockon:

My dad has a Masters in music, he plays just about every percussion, wind, and string instrument known to man. My little sister grew up playing piano and classical guitar, she is now in a band and plays rhythm, bass, drums, keyboard, electric kazoo and few others. I sorta been strummin on a guitar for about 15yrs, and my two kids (ages 7&10) have been playing on a full drum set for about 2yrs.

Drums. I've been playin them since before I could walk. My dad and uncle both play so I was taught at a young age. Played all through school, but am now waiting to get a house so I can have my "Drum Room" for myself.

I went to championships last year. I was at quarters, semis and finals. I'm making the trip to Madison this year to see it again. Finals had a small thunderstorm and they stopped the show right before SCV came on. The stayed in the tunnel entrance and did their doublebeat, poof!, and electric wheelchair a couple times...I creamed myself.

I haven't actually, I've seen or heard most of the east coast big bands like UMASS and WVU but I haven't gotten to to bands that are farther west yet, I wanna go west a little and check out some schools this summer, I'll have to drop by there and check it out. Unfortunately I learned to play playing match and not traditional so I rock out on the tenors. I'm trying to learn traditional but it's a bitch and kind've discouraging.

i was lucky and learned traditional in 6th grade, so you play the quints?
Speedy

Well we're poor and have quads, but yeah tenors in general. I kick ass at snare, but I don't play traditional so I'm not goin anywhere with that.

I've used fruity loops. I like Reason too but haven't used it much. As far as organic instruments I've played guitar and bass guitar since I was about 12. I play turntables also, not so much as a Dj but I'm more into turntablism.

Guitar and a bit of dabblage in keys/synth/reason...
although lately I've really been wanting to start a post-punk memphis-ey country band... go figure.
It seems I'm either dumping my money in a car or not working much so I have time for a band(read: adult add)

I play guitar (my other passion). Stopped working on my car for a while to get more guitar gear. I've spent more on gear than I did on my car I think.

Nice. My instrument is an ESP Forest GT. Imported it from ESP custom shop in Japan. Costs 315,000 yen. That's about $3000 or so. So worth it!

For sure. thats why my living room looks like this:
Thats between my roomate and I, but you also can't see the drums, a couple of my guitars, and my amps and pedals and stuff...
I'm not sure which of my addictions is worse!!
