hood wont latch

so i got the carbon fiber hood on my ride...but the hood wont latch on.. it :rockon: latched on once and that was it since then it wont lock in..is there a way 2 adjust the latch so the hood can lock in...or do i have 2 go 4 hood pins witch im trying 2 avoid...i mean if i have 2 get the pins fine..but if theres a way around that even better

my hood does that, the hood prop cable is too tight on mine, and you have to pull it back with a wrench where the latch is

you may need to adjust the hood latch, there's three bolts on it and the holes are slotted so you can move the latch assembly around to where you want it, then tighten them down. I had to do it on my DA to get a fiberglass hood to latch properly

I had to take out my rubber bump stops and lower my latch almost all the way down for the hood to align (cheap cf hood) and put hood pins in because the passenger side was sticking up a little.:eek:

ok sometimes the latch on the hood is too short and when you slam it or push it down... you might want to look at that and if so add some washers on the bottom of the latch then bolt it on and it should act as a spacer and let you latch you hood down
