Im thinkin of getting some new pedals as my old ones are getting pretty worn out and they slip when my shoes are wet. What are some pedals with good grip, that don't cost too much?
I dont want to recommend anything that might be JDM cause you hate JDM and I would not want to recommend anything rice cause you might get offended. I say just buy some cleats and use them to drive your car.

that's kinda why i'm also planning on shelling out the cash for the mugen pedals, they have a special grip surface on the brake and clutch pedals, $170 is a lot for some pedals, but they're really nice and they're mugen, so it's worth it in my opinion.

Yeah that is definetly a lot. Do you know if the razo or the mu ones have good grip as well?

not sure, i've never used those, i bought some cheap $20 ricer pedals and threw away the brake and clutch pads, i only use the one for the throttle cuz the stock pedal is so skinny.
My Mugen pedals are on order straight from Mugen Japan!

step 1, cut plywood to size. step 2, remove old pedals. step 3, drill holes in arms, step 4, attach plywood, step 5, glue sandpaper to plywood. plenty of grip!
j/k
personally, i'm fine with OE honda pedals, and my driving shoes.. i'm not a fan of aftermarket pedals

wow
the idea is to get pedals so you won't slip. The mugen pedals are the only pedals I know that will accomplish this because of the metal mesh pedal surface on the clutch and brake pedal. If you daily drive on these pedals, there is one disadvantage where the pedals will accumulate alot of dirt because of the super grippy-nesss of the pedals. Now you will have $170 dirty pedals.
i would just say ripp off the rubber pedals, get skateboard grip tape and put it on the pedal. boom, cheap mugen pedals made...
note: i wouldn't advise grip tape on the gas pedal though..

I've never driven on aftermarket pedals that I've liked. I simpy replace the rubber around the pedals when needed. Although I did see and EF this weekend where the owner fabbed up slightly larger pedals out of sheet metal to replaced the existing pedals. I think he used grip tape from skateboards, the gas pedal was HUGE without any grip surface at all. I spoke with the owner who stated he made them for heel toe driving. The looked sick and funtional.

I have these:
http://66.252.233.14/detail.asp?PRODUCT_ID=RP-TR-M
They are leftovers from my ricing days, but they actually grip pretty well.
Problem is they don't sit a 100% if they are mounted in the way they're meant to.
I just tighten the screws now and then... Atleast they are very cheap...

my project mu's have a grippy material on the clutch and brake...they do (and mine are right now) get dirty in daily driving, but they work well, i'll try to get a pic of them up

i have the mugen pedals. i actually got them used off of a jdmc member that for some reason didn't like them. paid $100 shipped. they are real nice pedals, but they have collected a fair share of dirt from daily driving. no slips at all with those bad boys, and yes they have the "jdm" bling!

I would go with one of these:
OMP (with grip surface):
Sparco Corsa:
I'm still unsure witch to buy.

Grip surface is great for less slippage. The only thing i can see wrong with them is they get dirty fast if they are a light color and they most likely will wear down your shoes more since its grip surface vs your rubber sole.
