I hope this is in the right section. Considering that civics get stolen a lot, im thinkin of doing some security works.

Except for an alarm and a fuel pumo cutoff switch what else can I do?

I was in wallmart yesterday, and saw some auto lock and clubs, but considering its wallmart, is that worth buying?

What other kill switches can I make?

Moved to electrical.

Honestly a security system should be the first Mod anyone should do to there car. And when I say security system I mean alarm, and some other kind of theft deterent. You have to layer things together so that the thief wont want to take your car.

How many theives do you know that will take the time to cut off a club then deactivate the alarm and then find a kill switch then cut off a autolock that wont let the brake pedal up down.

Those are the things you need to think about. In My coupe I had an alarm then I had a kill switch then I had about 3 other types of kill switches and deterents hooked up so even for me it was a pain in the ass just to start my car. I can tell you from experience the car was tried to be taken about 3 times and not once where they successful in taking the car. All they did was open the door or bust the outside door pillar moulding.

Im gona get an alarm, eventually, but now since funds are low, i was thinkin of doing something cheaper.

How does an autolock, club, and a fuel kill switch sound? Are there any specific companies I should try to get the autolock and club from? What other kill switches can be done except for the fuel pump?

Removable steering wheel? It's going to be my next mod.

I would do the steering wheel thing, but I like my airbags.

So anyone got anything to say about the clubs and autolocks?

The club is a piece of garbage. I have seen people w/ my own eyes breaking those in half when their in a car. The best thing would be an alarm with a hidden back up siren.

get one of those boots so they can't tow it or build a house around it so you can sleep with it other than that what are you looking for?

Autolock is a fairly good theft deterrent. IT DOESNT PREVENT IT from being stolen since I know a way to get around it. It happened to our friend who had an autolock but they still manage to get it off.

The boot that they sell is called an alpha lock...although there is a way around it since it isn't like the city boot.

A good setup is...

Fuel cutoff, start cutoff, relocated Alarm brain, backup battery for siren, removable steering wheel, disable keylocks, sheetmetal to prevent slimjim.

and for you california heads,

read this

this will the ultimate cutoff switch lol.

Im kinda interested in getting a wheel, but that would mean no airbags , right?

Dina

it depends on the wheel you want to get and what is more important to you. but you can put a newwer style wheel on your car like a ITR with airbag and have it work.

derek.... that thing looks kinda weird..... they say its 100% secure... but they dont list a warrantee if thiefs do end up stealing your car... point blank.... if they want it they will have it... the main thing is to have several security messures to lessen the chance of it being taken...

if you read it carefully it says they offer reward ONLY if you register the autolock and i bet half of the people who buy the autolock do not register the car to the lock.
