ok well last night when i was driving, it was going good, but when i gave it gas and when the vtec was hitting the car bucked hard and lights would go out.. then i just drove it normal and seemed fine, so i got on the highway and when i gave it gas same thing happened but this time the car died out and no power... so at like 1 am and tipsy, i popped my hood and noticed the positive battery cable was very loose and the wires that were in it had fell out... so i touched them to the post and i got full power again... Now the trick was being so dark out and nooo tools, i had took off the positive cable terminal and had to use my finger strength to loosen the nuts to put in the wires on the terminal.. I got it some what and car started up and i got it home, but one last time down my street i gave it gas and like dies out..... So now I wake up and go outside and look at it, the positive terminal was loose which i will replace today and found a distributor bolt that fell out and was resting on the positive wire on the starter, every time i tried to touch it to get it out, SPARKS, LOL but got it out and put it back in the distributor housing...... the car starts up and runs perfect, by why when i give it gas it would die out like when vtec should hit? even before that!?!? was it because of the cable loose and bolt on that wire sparking cause it to short under a load????

much help will be appreciated!! so in a few i am gonna go to the store and buy new terminals and re-cut the wires and then check, I hope this is the problem and will run hard again!!....

ok well just got done replacing the terminals and tightened everything down... took on a road test and PERFECT, problem fixed.... it was sooo weird that that happened... I guess with it sparking out the computer didn't get juice causing vtec not to hit and stuff.... weird... so if anyone has a problems like this in the future, do what i did....

Makes sense, loose battery terminals and the alternator wire would definitely do that, when you accelerated more aggressively the terminals were probably coming loose and causing a bad connection.
