So the rear drums on the wifes 00EX have this weird squeak sound. It only comes when releasing the brake pedal. I popped both drums off and inspected everything and it all seems to be fine. But when you release the brake pedal there it is. Really kinda sounds like the springs in the drum returning back to a resting position but I have never heard drums do it before. I am not sure what the deal is. It can be heard over music in the car. Any thoughts or help will be great! Thanks!

x2 then wash the rest out with some brake cleaner, should be good to go.
Oh yeah might as well adjust em a little while you in there, turn the lil click wheel a few notches until you take up some of the slop between the shoe and the drum.

Don't clean them with air unless you like breathing asbestos, just spray the hell out of them with brake-clean. Then lube the backing plate where the shoes contact it with some wheel bearing/brake grease.

Werd, thanks for the info I will check it out and clean things up. Hope it just needs that "Spring" cleaning... :)

Meh, brake shoes don't have asbestos in them anymore. Still not good for ya though.
