Remove the vafc device and run your car without it. If the check engine light comes back on then its the map. But if it doesn't then it probably is the vafc device. You probably messed around with the settings. When you reconnect the vafc back it should had reset so it should be good.

I do, but not for tuning purposes.
Im using mine strictly to run 3-stage VTEC, so all i have wired are TPS signal, VTEC in and out, and RPM's.

FFsquad technet saves the day again....
One thing that I've noticed with the vafc is that your ecu does not like its map signal messed with at part throttle, i.e when the motor is still running in closed loop. It will throw a map code. Keep your low throttle point around 75-80% so that the vafc only starts modifying the map signal under relatively heavy load, and not just under cruising conditions.

Hey people got a question .. does your VAFC 2 reads Atmospheric Preasure?? MAP
with the engine off and key on, it should read atmospheric pressure (101 kpa)

mine is not reading the map it says -15psi

yea and with the car off
it should not read -15psi with the engine off. it should read atmospheric (WOT) pressure with the engine off and key on. get that fixed first. check map sensor wiring and test map sensor. what does it read with the engine on?
also. did you mess around with fuel adjustments?

no and do you know what color of cable from the apex goes to the map sensor? and with the car runing is -15psi
so...
running = -15psi
not running = -15psi
is this correct?

yes runing -15psi not runing -15psi
your map pressure wiring is wrong or you have a bad map sensor.

ok do you know what cable you use from the apex to the ecu for the map sensor?
i'm assuming you're obd1 because of the car in your sig.
find the wire going to D17 (white wire) and cut it. take vafc wires and connect them like so:
vafc yellow -> ecu D17 ecu side.
vafc white -> ecu D17 map sensor side.

Sounds like you MIGHT have connect the wires to the wrong sides (i.e. sensor to map in and ecu to vafc out) xausing the vafc to display a low limit. It is also therefore not sending a modified signal to the ecu. Your car should also be running like shit if that is the case though.

jaja yeah waht happen that i thought that the cable that said preasure was the Vtec preasure lol .. but now is fix thanks now it says -15psi and when im runing it changes
