Depends on what you want to do, there's several options:

Without changing the booster:
-15/16th from a 88 prelude Si
-15/16th from a 91 Civic EX sedan

If you change the booster to an integra unit it opens a lot more options, since there's more 15/16th MC out there form those cars. There's also the option of using a 1" but I forget which model it comes on.

I have an integra 15/16th master cylinder if ya need one also.

what size is the oem spec on the EJ1? and how can i use the MC from prelude or civic sedan you listed above without changing my booster? what about the 15/16th integra one??

i just need to find the best route to go.... i just got the 4040 prop valve today and will prolly just go with integra booster and mc, what mc do you have... abs or non abs??

The difference in boosters is the way the master cylinder bolts up, there's 3 different bolt patterns. If you look at a civic and integra side by side you'll see what I mean.

so do i need the 1"? iv been finding alot of 98 spec ITR ones but the MC looks differ from the 96 spec one i saw and then i just found a JDM EG6 Honda Civic 15/16" Brake Master Cylinder

Its the booster and MC, would that work???

15/16th or 1"?? i dont want the brake pedal to feel to soft

you only need the boosted if the bolt pattern on the mc is different. im running the cx mc and 30/30, pedal doesnt feel bad

I missed a couple things in this post but...

The original MC in an EJ1 is 7/8, a DX is 13/16. The 88 Prelude and 91 Civic EX MCs will work because they share the same bolt pattern and the lines are in pretty much the same place. I have a non-abs 15/16 from an 88 Prelude in my car and it bolted right up. I still have drums out back and the stock proportioning valve but the pedal feels great.

You'll probably want to go with the 1" if you want a really stiff pedal, especially with 4 wheel discs. In that case, you'll need to find a 98 Integra RS non-abs master cylinder.(someone correct me if I'm wrong.) And the corresponding booster.

Here's a few pics to show the difference.

98 Integra RS, non-abs

94 Integra RS

95 Civic EX

88 Prelude Si

91 Civic EX sedan

As you can see in the pics, the orientation of the mounting tabs and the placement of the hydraulic fittings are the main differences. Also notice that the bottom 3 are nearly identical externally which is why they bolt up to the stock civic power booster.

so for me and bill, our best bet is the 91 ef ex w/ a da prop valve

Pretty much. I only used the Prelude MC because I found it in a junkyard first, then used it as a core toward a new one.
