besides it not passing emmisions...what is the difference between a high flow cat converter...and a regular stock...im looking 2 get 1..and i see that the high flow goes for about 30 40 bucks compared to the stock that goes 4 almost 200...not trying 2 sound cheap and all if i have 2 get the stock i will...but whats the differenc????

High flow cats = high flow... They have larger inlet and outlets and you can be CARB legal high flow cats.

All I know is that cheap=good. I bought a "high-flow" cat from abay for like 40 bucks. and like angrychicken said, bigger inlet and all. and my cat is just a hollow resonator basically. I needed one just so the highway patrol would look under my car and shut the hell up when I got pulled over.

whats wrong with the one you got now? i know you can open those things up and tear the insides out, my buddy with a ss cobalt did that, big difference in sound. here in va we dont have emissions testing :D all they do is look underneath to make sure that you have one. -kris
