This past sunday was the resceduled track day from early april! The weather actually held out which surprised me...since we had dark clouds hovering! lol It was awesome because I actually hit my best time of a 16.07 which was so close to 15's...that I didn't even think was possible to hit with my setup! I ended up making it through three rounds of eliminations which I was happy about since it was my first time bracket racing! :TU:

Ok on to the bad news...haha!!! On my way home from the track my clutch went out on me...so I was stuck on the side of the freeway by myself! Now that was scary...I thought for sure someone was going to hit me because traffic was so close! :( Anyways...my brother in law ended up coming over with a flat bed but the problem is they were over 2 hours away! Didn't get home til around 3 in the morning...but I hit my best times so I'm not gonna complain! ;)

what can i say... SOHC does SUK..... it should just be renames... SUK VTAK!... eheh damn i hate hearing that someone blew their motor... i have yet to blow a B series motor... *knock on wood*... but i've blown pleanty singlecams..... get ur D15B Vtec and slap it in...

Luis I just have to say that I about died laughing last night when I heard your voicemail...I almost called you back to give you shit...but it was already in bed! lol If I hear anymore sohc sucks comments you're going to get your ass kicked next weekend when I come down! :eek:

like i said.. i love honda motors period... reason i was selling was so i can have more money for wedding plans... and to help out the lil SOHC fam grow.... i can make power with any motor... shiet someone send me a RUNNING DX 1.5 and i will make sure it rips a low 15s 1/4 or mid 14s 1/4.......

ive heard faster times can be had at sac, but the track is bumpy or something like that?

Nah...just ran at sac twice...have yet to actually race at infineon! Won't be doing anymore racing for awhile though! :(

Due to lack of timing I had to put in an oem replacement clutch....and I lost my act flywheel too...so I'm rocking stock for both of those and it sucks ass! :(

hey, what mods did you have on the ej1? i did the weds night drag @ sac and did a 16.9 on my bone stock ej6, best all night. now that i have a lifetime warranty on my axles, im gonna launch around 5500-6000. :D

LOL, i should've gotten lifetime warranty on the Dseries axles...I launched that bitch at CMI around 5000rpm and it probably screwed it up even more.

Ok so here is what happened to the flywheel...

The guy needed the clutch by thursday so he could have it done by friday...so my friend dropped the oem replacement clutch (*tear*) to him on wednesday! So I called him on friday on my lunch to check on the status and he said it should be done by 5:30 no problem! Then he calls back at 2:30 saying my flywheel needed to be resurfaced but that would take an hour and a half...meaning he'd have it back at 4:30 but there's no way my car would be done by 5:30! I live over an hour away from where my car is getting fixed and I had to borrow my dads truck all week so I kinda needed my car done by friday! So my only option was to get a stock f**king flywheel!

What really pisses me off is that he said he thought maybe it would be damaged....so why didn't he drop the tranny on thursday and check first instead of waiting until friday! I just really hate paying people that much money for something I'm capable of doing! :hoppingmad:

I got the clutch for free from my friend...had to pay 60 for a new flywheel...so out the door with labor and everything it was almost 400! :(

that sucks........me and chris coulda done it for u for half the price......but kinda live a ways away so that would'nt work.....so are u gonna hold onto the fly wheel and get another clutch in the futere......or u gonna sell it;)

I don't even have it! :( Apparently he had to put down a core deposit and then he'd get it back when he gives them mine...which I didn't know! I was in such a hurry on friday that I forgot to ask until this morning...it was too late! Grrrrrrrrrr!!!
