so the civic went on road yesterday, did a lil test driving near my house....ran fine minus the O2 sensor still not working ( CEL 41 ).

go out there today to rewire O2, and now i have a ( CEL 3 ) which is the Map sensor.

did driving around with the O2 not working kill the Map sensor??

the exhaust smelled like unburt gas...

im going to try to rewire the O2 again, just making sure its right... anyone know what colors go where??

From O2 sensor --- ECU
Black ------------- ???
Black ------------- ???
Green ------------- ???
White ------------- ???

Hi i dont want to thread hi jack, but my civic is running a bit rich and really smells of un-burnt fuel and i am only getting 200 miles to a tank, i took the car to the guy who tuned it and he said it could be a sensor gone wrong either 02 or map sensor. i am taking it back to go on the dyno in a couple of weeks.

but does the engine overfuel if one of those sensors go wrong?

once again sorry for the thread hijack

you have a check engine light??? see what it is

and Speedy.... that O2 on the header you gave me is shot, ive wired it correct like 5 times now....still doesnt work

the map sensor light is gone tho, but i havnt let it run again for a while bc i dont want to mess anything up again by letting it run with no working O2

no lights on the dash

and no lights on the s300

never mind hope your engine gets betteer soon!

i like to think of my b20 as a child! it breaths and gives me so much joy just like a little one, i hope it likes the jackson with 11 psi

What ECU are you using? Also are you still getting the MAP sensor code or just the 41?

Black ------------- A6 ORN/BLK PO2SHTC O2 sensor (heating element)
Black ------------- B1 YEL/BLK IGP2 to pin A25
Green -------------A23 BLK PG1 ground or anywhere in tha engine bay where there good grounding.
White ------------- D14 WHT PHO2S O2 sensor

hope this helps.
also, its gonna b pretty hard to know what black wire goes where.
if it doesnt work tha first time just switch tha 2 black wires.

good luck

i have a P06 chipped to a P08 and chipped to use 4 wire O2
and map sensor code went away

Black ------------- A6 ORN/BLK PO2SHTC O2 sensor (heating element)
Black ------------- B1 YEL/BLK IGP2 to pin A25
Green -------------A23 BLK PG1 ground or anywhere in tha engine bay where there good grounding.
White ------------- D14 WHT PHO2S O2 sensor

black - O2 heater circuit control = A6
black - heater circuit power = A25
green - signal ground = D22
white - signal wire = D14

this is how i currently have it. White and one black is good but i still may have the black one mixed with the other one, not sure yet

for the other black one....do you wire it straight to the A25 spot? whats with the B1?? B1 is Power Ground and A25 is Power Source...wouldnt that not work?

as for the green...A23 is a Power ground and D22 is a Sensor ground... could that be causing it to not work??

ill try it again tomorrow, but im not sure about B1

thnx ej2rey

D22 may be the pin you need. This sucks because I had the same problem but I can't remember exactly what I did.

Just switch the 2 black wires and green just screw it sumwhere on the chassis. Its just ground anyways.

And the white you have right. Just concentrate on both black and gree. Make sure you have enough ground for the green.

You probably just need to switch the blacks tho.

im done here.

no, i read online that the O2 not working...car runs rich, and can cause damage to the Cat...the Cat is brand new, i dont want to F it up

just let me get it running right before i go driving all over the place

ps. didnt get wiring fixed today...snowed and i had stuff to do

well i emailed the place that was suppose to chip my auto P06 ecu to the JDM D15 P08 ecu map with 5 spd and add vtec and change it to a 4 wire O2

looks like they converted the ecu to the full jdm d15 specs and made it a 1 wire O2?

i dunno? i emailed him back again cause he sounds confused...ill wait til afternoon for an answer and if it is still single wire... i should still have the upper half of the jdm header

Do you have a p28 around? Use that and wire it as normal.

Damn! That sucks.
But why you sent it to get chippep? How much did that cost you? You could've done all the chipping and basemaping yourself. They sale kits with all the components even the extra transistor to convert to 4 wire o2.

he checked the file from me on Crome, and it is 4wire...sooo i def think the O2 is shot. He even sent me my file for JDM P08 map w/ 4wire. Cant look at it tho bc i dont have crome.

i sent it out bc i wanted the correct ecu for the motor.

cost me $110? shipped, got it back in 3 days bc there local and they gave me an extra base map chip. I saw P08s going for alot more on ebay..well the 2 that i saw and they werent even in this country.

$110! Whooosh...ehh its alright. I guess am just used to chipping my own. $25 its all i spend now if I want to chip my ecu.

But yeah its time for another o2 sensor. Good luck.
