I have now owned three sets of Omni Power 1 pc coilovers, consisting of street, sport, drag between all three generations of their struts.
Set #1:
I purchased Omni Power Drag Coilovers from PASSWORD:JDM in August of 2005 for $750+shipping. These came from the second generation batch and went on my 1994 civic cx hatch. They came in a very neatly packed Omni Power box, the box was not broken, the struts looked very nice. The rates were 12k for the front and 18k for the rear. They were SUPER stiff.
I removed 1 collar lock from the front coilovers and dropped the preload to "slam" my car. I did not need to do this to the rear, those springs remained preloaded. These shocks rode amazing at a slammed height for 2 1/4 years while I put about 45,000 miles on them. My car was stolen with them on it and I never saw them again.
These shocks made a HUGE difference in my 60' times, even if I only had a 100hp d16y7.
Set #2:
I purchased Omni Power Sport Coilovers from InLineFour.com in July of 2008 for $700+shipping. This was a third gen model... The rates were 12k for the front and 10k for the rear. Again, the packing was very neat, all 4 struts were in seperate boxes within one large Omni Power Box. I put them on my 1994 civic dx coupe....they were a GREAT improvement over my skunk2 pro-s junk.
I transferred them over to civic hatchback a week later after blowing up my coupe, the hatch did not run for another 2 weeks and did not see any road time for another 3 weeks. I drove the car back and forth to school twice/week for 2 months before the driver's side rear strut developed a knocking sound. I took the strut off of the car and it fell into two pieces. The nut that holds the rod into the piston had worked its way off. Epic fail.
After talking to Omni Power directly over the phone, they agreed to rebuild the strut for free as it was under warranty. It was supposed to be a 4-6 week turnaround not inlcuding shipping time, which isn't all that bad. In the end Omni Power ended up sending me a brand new strut for free. They are very cool people and I am very happy that they stood behind their product 100%.
Set #3:
I purchased this set second hand to use on my car while the one strut was being rebuilt. They were street units (10k front 8k rear rates) from their first batch and originally made for a Da integra. I paid $100 for the set, which was covered in surface rust but still usable and intact.
I soaked the collars and locks in some penetrant over night and used a blunt chizzel with a hammer the next day to break everything free. I cleaned all the threads and reassembled the struts before putting my eg collars on the fronts because da's use different wishbones. These struts were atleast 3 years old and looked like they had seen some serious road time. I dumped my car on them and they still rode great.
