Picked up a set of 16" Stark wheels and the spokes are a little on the rough side (though the previous owner had the polished lip reworked, so those are gravy) and was debating on gettting the spokes powder coated.

Thing is, I don't know if the wheel could be disassembled so that the spokes could be removed and properly coated. It seems like a 2-piece wheel, but looking at it, it doesn't seem like I could remove the spoke from the rim.

Is it possible for the powdercoater to coat just the spokes and leave the polished lip in tact without ruining it (masking it)?

Plus I was debating between gloss black or gunmetal or should I just leave it silver. What do you guys think?

They look one piece to me buddy, i would go with a not so dark gunmetal, that's how i would picture them nicely. Kind of like the color form the itr wheels.

i have to agree i would go with the gunmetal i think that the black would be to plain and dullen the wheels, and the gunmetal would make then stand out.

So far, every place that I've contacted has told me that because of the design of the wheel (it's a one piece) that if I were to have the spokes powdercoated that the polished lip would have to be redone as it's not possible to keep the lip polished (something about the masking would ruin it and would have to be repolished). I'm a little tight on funds right now, so I'm gonna have to wait a little longer to get them done. But I have decided to get them powdercoated in gunmetal and slap some new tires on them when I get the cash together (40 series is too small for me).
