That is honestly one of the sweeter shifters I've seen. Big :TU: on your pick, I personally hate most "short throws". That shifter looks like it places your palm in a real ergonomical spot. How does is feel when you pass through gears? How much was it? Need more feed back!

Well I got it from:http://estores.merchantpartners.com/pn280/product_info.php?products_id=205
The site pretty much explains it all. Like I said overall I like it. The throws are about the same in length as my old gsr shifter. It feels really great going from 1st to 2nd, and its great going to every other gear. It was shipped out to me in three working days!

I know a guy who has an Integra R with an NA built engine, that brakes about 250whp.
He has one of those, and he says there is nothing like it.
The distance from steering wheel to gear knob is less than the distance from your thumb to your pinky.
When driving actively that cuts down the time you use to change gear quite a bit.
This means you can have your hands on the steering wheel most of the time, thus having better control of the vehicle.
A very good part for the most performance minded, and a little too extreme for the rest of us I say.

you know i laughed really hard when i first saw this shifter, but the more i look at race cars the more i notice that some have the super tall shifter setup. its supposed to work really well from what ive heard.
ive been thinking about picking one up for a while now, and i might just have to in the near future.
is the throw decreased from stock?
or is it the same?

it does look really tall, but having it that close to the wheel makes sense since you can shift and get your hand back on the wheel quicker. I've also seen lots of race cars with shifter setups like that, especially rally cars where they need to make a lot of quick shifts and turns. I don't think it's something i would run though, the stock shifter is fine for me.

maybe it will be more cleaner with a aftermakret steering wheel...i ahte how slippery the stock one is..whats the piont of having a kick ass shifting mechanism when you have a poor setup for a steering wheel...not hating on the oem steering wheel but it just downright sucks for grip unless you have ungurly hands like me and gorilla fingers.i myself love the shifter and see it as functional...when everyone around has short shiftersbeing short..they lose posture and time in the shift postion when they can be in hands on wheel position..n e ways good choice for a shifter i agreew with you %100 on it

you should measure the distance between places where the shift knob is in the diff gears.

I like it! My initial idea was to purchase a short shifter and buy the extension rod to make the shifter taller. They sell it at Super Autobacs for like $20 for the extension.
i love the idea of the shorter the distance to the gear lever, the less time it takes for you to shift. It comes in real handy during roadracing. it is not as important in drag racing but it still will help especially if the car has alot of torque steer.
