I was interested to see how they were going to take one of my favorite childhood short stories and make an entire film out of it.
My kids and I just got back from watching the flick.
Great story line, movie was filled with emotion & fun. I felt like I was a kid again (not hard to do given my maturity level).
Def not a movie that needs to be seen on the big screen but def needs to be seen.

You can pick it in read it in a few minutes.
I'm sure you won't get the same feeling a few of us had though, (childhood memories).
As far as comic heroes, that's exactly what brought all these movies out. It's a great marketing loop, it's also why Ford brought out the old school looking stang, why "muscle cars" became a hit, etc...
Even places like McDonald's use a similar marketing strategy.

Yeah, its a good marketing strategy. As for the comic book movies, i'm not gonna complain if Chris Nolan keeps making Batman movies. He made them look realistic and totally bad-ass. Also, i've heard speculations of Mark Wahlberg becoming Captain America and then later on down the road, they're thinkging of making an Avengers movie!
