Taken from jdmrevelations my space

On May 15th all myspace members are to not go to the gas station in protest high gas prices. Gas is now over $3.00 a gallon in most places. There are 72,110,073 members currently on the network, and the average car takes about 20 to 30 dollars to fill up. If all myspace members did not go to the pump on the 15th it would take $2,163,302,190.00 out of the oil companys pockets for just one day, so please do not go to the gas station on May 15th and lets try to put a dent in the oil industry for at least one day!!!

I say everyone on here do the same!

I worked at a gas station for a year+, all this will do is to gas stations is put them out of business, they're already struggling. And besides, everyone who won't be getting gas that day will fill up the day before or the day after. This shit does not work and will NEVER work. I apologize if I sound harsh but I consider my old boss and co-workers family and I know that they're struggling for money.

you'll still need gas the next day and you are hurting everyone BUT corpoarate America where this type of stuff is supposedly aimed...

and all this boycott exxon/mobil stuff is a load of crap as well because they are all franchized out and have idenpendent owners.

i know we will have to pump sooner or later.. and i know they get franchised out... the whole thing behind it is to show that people are willing to not pump when prices start going up... everyone knows that everyone will keep paying but damn shiet is getting out of hand!.... there has been times when i think about selling the coupe and buy a streetbike... or even FIT!... i wish there was something we could do... and the only thing we are doing is putting money in the OIL companies Pockets...

no kidding, gasoline is a product with inelastic demand, meaning that the demand will not change when the price changes, people will continue to buy gas at whatever the price is, the only way to put a stop to it is for the government to step in and enforce laws or make new ones

it almost 3.68 to 3.70 here and it sucks

the government can't really do much about prices even the head of exxon said that the only way to lower prices is to lower demand.....so less people driving gigantic SUV's and stuff will help out but not buying gas for a day will solve nothing

they did this last summer didn't they? i doesn't really work, because last time they jacked the prices up a few days after the "no fill" day...that's when everybody needed gas. what they don't get that day, they will make up for it the next couple days.
